An unforgettable afternoon exploring Oslo through its flavors and stories. This food tour was the perfect blend of local cuisine and rich history—each stop thoughtfully curated and every bite telling a story of Norway’s culture.
What truly made the experience exceptional was our guide, Marianna. It felt less like a tour and more like spending the afternoon with an old friend—warm, engaging, and incredibly knowledgeable. She brought the city to life with insights you simply wouldn’t discover on your own.
Despite the Easter holiday, she went above and beyond to ensure we didn’t miss a thing—offering thoughtful recommendations and making adjustments so the experience felt seamless and special.
If you’re looking to truly connect with Oslo—its people, its history, and its food—this tour is an absolute must.

A great way to see sights not on the tourist path as well as eating local food. Fun, tasty, and interesting.
Amanda_P, Mar 2026
We really enjoyed the walking tour and the food was delicious. You need to come hungry as the tasting portions add up to a full meal.

I was traveling with my friend and we both had a great time during this tour! We really appreciated the conversation, information provided about different locations that we would pass, and the food/beverages that were provided. We would highly recommend this tour if coming to Oslo. Do it early so you have an opportunity to check out some of the other suggestions that your guide might give you for Oslo!

Food aspects were fantastic! Given the group of 3 of us were non beer drinkers, the beer stop was a bust. Embarrassingly, we left 5 of 6 glasses full minus a tiny sip or two. Given this, the guide should have the ability to buy bottles of sparkling water or juice. Or, empower/allow the guide to offer the group the ability to pivot and go to a bar with liquor, a coffee shop, a bakery, etc.

The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and made a great experience without information overload.

Saw the pictures of the waffles and decided to book the tour.
Arrived early at the meeting spot to see the tour guide was there. They made introductions and we were quick to set off.
The food was all local with a story behind the origin of each spot. They also gave us some of the history behind Oslo as we moved between spots. It was easy to make conversation with the guides themselves.
Every place I’d recommend to family and friends to eat. They wouldn’t be something I’d pick out for myself and my partner to go for lunch or dinner.
We definitely feel like we’ve got our moneys worth.

My food walking tour was really great! My tour guide Lisa was very knowledgeable and friendly. All of the local foods I tried were delicious and decent sized portions. I was happy that as a solo traveler and the only one on the tour, they didn't cancel it on me. I highly recommend this tour.

Booking the tour was easy and the directions to the start were accurate.
My wife and I were the only customers on the tour and our guide was Casper. He is really friendly and knowledgeable. It was like being shown around Oslo by a new friend.
He gave us some history about Oslo and the couple of tourist sites and neighbourhoods that we stopped at but not intense/dry historical facts. He kept it light and interesting. (I really like history but this isn't advertised as a purely historical tour so the balance was good.)
The food at each stop was very well chosen for variety and quality. We really enjoyed it all.
When you spend a few hours with somebody, especially in a very small group, it's really important that that person has good people skills and makes you relaxed and makes the experience enjoyable. Casper is a great guide, he really made the experience fun.
Compared to some tours in other European countries we have visited it seems quite expensive but considering the quality of the food, and the high cost of stuff in Oslo in general, we found this tour 100% worth the money. Casper didn't make us feel rushed at all.
Thanks, Casper! We would recommend this to visitors to Oslo.

It was a good tour through the history of Norway and Oslo while stopping to eat food. Definitely recommend pacing yourself as there is a lot of food. The Norwegian waffle was delicious.

Alex was a great host with an interesting backstory. He took us to some really great local spots. Book the tour!
Janae_S, Aug 2025
Really great walking tour with lots of information and yummy food we wouldn’t have tried on our own.
Cheryl_B, Aug 2025
This is a great little walking tour that takes you to a part of the city other tours do not.
Lisa, our guide, has a lot of interesting facts to share as well as tips of other places to see. The food was great. A little heavy on the seafood for me, but the farm to table restaurant and the waffles were awesome!
Julius_P, Aug 2025
Make sure to come to this experience with an empty stomach. Also wear comfortable shoes, because there is some walking.
Gail_L, Aug 2025
Our guide certainly knew a lot about Oslo! We enjoyed the walk and the food. I thought his initial introduction was a bit rushed (spoke fast) but we really enjoyed the tour overall.
Bradley_C, Jul 2025
The tour was very informative in regards to the food & the history of the city. The food itself was delicious & the tour guide was very kind & welcoming. All in all it was a great experience.

Eleonora was excellent - informative and fun. Finishing the tour with a hot dog was curious choice. Group was a little large with 18 people but Eleonora worked to connect with everyone.
Terri_W, Jun 2025
This was a very fun day filled with some history and traditional foods of Norway. Seafood, Vaffles, hot dogs, meats and cheeses, all with interesting stories. Charles was our tour guide. He is a transplant from Argentina so we had lively conversations about his decision to move to Norway. He did a wonderful job of giving us all the details of our tour. We walked for a few hours, enjoying the scenery of Oslo.
I never thought I would eat reindeer, moose and whale salami! We also met very nice new friends. This is a definite DO when traveling to other countries.
Ryan_T, Jun 2025
The food selections are very good, but know you will walk approx 3km total and end a bit of a walk from central Oslo.
Response from Host, Jun 2025
Hi Ryan. Thank you for the FeedBack. I believe is around 15 min walk from our ending point. Oslo is not like Madrir, Rome or a suthamerican country where foodstands are everywhere or can just focus in 1 district. Oslo is a very modern city where food stands are hard to visit as the truly Norwegian food is located at restaurants. That is why we have to walk a bit in order to provide this complete experience. We are very happy you enjoy this tour and we are glad you enjoyed all this tastings. Enjoy the rest of your stay in Oslo
Graeme_S, Jun 2025
Excellent guide and very interesting tour. Lovely food and drink along the way, and we revisited some of the places after the tour.
Tatum_R, Jun 2025
we had such a great tour today! It was really fun to see the food culture of Oslo and to taste different traditional foods!
Jeffrey_D, May 2025
A very pleasant afternoon spent visiting Oslo sights and sampling its food. The added bonus is doing it with like minded people from various parts of the world
Response from Host, May 2025
This is such a nice message. I must say our product is very complete, our guides very kind and good at what they do but participants like your group are the ones that do this tour perfect. Even if we had the best product it would meant nothing with out so nice clients.
Thanks for the feedback.
Bryan_D, May 2025
Carlos was friendly and gave a good mix of history details as we walked through Oslo on a gorgeous day!
William_B, Apr 2025
Our guide Alex was amazing! He knew so much about Oslo, the history, the culture and the food!! He took us off the beaten path to places we never would have experienced on our own, introduced us to great people and great products as well. We were well fed, well educated and we'll exercised!
This was our favorite tour in Oslo!
Edward_E, Feb 2025
Our guide (Alex) was excellent! Although the weather was crummy (cold & rainy) we enjoyed learning more about Oslo’s history & culinary options. All of our food stops were great…especially the seafood!
Dinah_G, Jan 2025
Tour guide Alex was great about explaining history. There was ALOT of food even though was a food tour..
Charleyy_H, Nov 2024
We didn't really know what to expect from Norwegian cuisine when we booked the holiday, so thought this was a great way of getting a taste of everything and understanding it.
Alex, our tour guide, was fantastic, giving so much texture to the city (a great walking compliment to a bus tour guide we did earlier in the day). We got to see so many different parts of it and sample the cuisine with knowledgeable local shops explaining it to us. The Waffles were a particular highlight!
Thanks again! C+L
Dimitri_D, Nov 2024
We went to some of the best food places, I would not have found easily on my own unless I knew what I was looking for. Highly recommend. Tour guide was extremely knowledgeable of the area and history
Kesla_F, Nov 2024
The whole tour was very fun. Eating location significant foods and learning about them as you get try them is very cool. Also, the history and location specific information you get to learn whole walking from stop to stop is informative and enjoyable. Alex, our guide is very knowledgeable and had answers to all of our questions.
MARYANN_E, Sep 2024
I was at the meeting point on time but I couldn't find the tour guide. I requested for a refund but I was denied. Such a terrible experience on my first day in Oslo.
Response from Host, Oct 2024
Hi Mary.
I am sorry you missed the tour .
You called our office several times after the tour started and said you were at the right place. We think is unfair you say we didnt try to help when we even gave you directions to our first food stop (3 min walking distanxe from starting point)
We waited 20 mins for you together with the other 4 participants but we couldn't wsit more. We have to respect other participants time.
We thank you for trying to do this tour. A refund is not possible as we prepaid for all your tastings and we were at the right place together with the others.
Have a good time
