A very thoughtful and informed selection of local foods. Each one better than the last. The food experiences were heightened by Mark’s deep understanding of the local history and restaurateurs. We got away from the typical CBD and French Quarter offerings to get great Etoufee, shrimp and a hot dog with a secret ingredient.

We've been on several food tours and this was by far our favorite! Portions were perfect - totally satisfied without being overly stuffed so we actually enjoyed ALL the food! Ty was knowledgeable and excited about not only the places we stopped, but also the history of the town and food. Highly recommend this tour!

Actually very little...

Actually very little walking involved, so don’t let “walking tour” deter you. We visited five establishments, (four savory /one sweet) not sure if that’s standard or if they vary. Ours were all on same street. I would have preferred a bit more variety in location, but enjoyed what we did. All four (savory) were good, with three of which I’d visit again. I would definitely not revisit our dessert location. It was a disappointment, but in no way a reflection on this company. We would (and expected) have much rather had a traditional New Orleans themed dessert, such as bread pudding or pralines, not cupcakes and macaroons. Our tour guide, EJ was awesome in so many ways. If you can request, do so!

It really is great that Magazine Street features so many great restaurants all in the same location that you can walk such a short distance and still find so many different places - and EJ himself is certainly a delight to have as a tour guide! We're sorry you didn't appreciate the dessert stop on the tour. It's understandable to be eager for more of a traditional New Orleans dessert experience, but one of the goals of the tour is to introduce visitors to food options beyond the expected New Orleans fare and demonstrate so many of the great new and contemporary options in our culinary culture. Still, we hope you were able to find your bread pudding on your trip! :)

Great tour! Adelaide, aka Aubrey,☺️ was very knowledgeable and made the experience fun. She has a great sense of humor. The serving sizes were quite large and very tasty. There wasn't anything we didn't like. Definitely recommend this tour.

Amazing Experience

Everything about this tour was excellent. Adelai was our guide, and she was incredible. She didn't just give us facts about the food; she brought the region and its cuisine to life with a thoughtful mixture of history, folklore, and personal insight. Along the way, she introduced us to fun shops and stores, and was responsive to what our group seemed to be into. It felt like the tour was designed just for us. The food at each stop was incredible, there was a good variety of locations, tastes, and textures, and the tour itself was well-paced. We left full, happy, and wanting to come back to the Garden District for more. If you're on the fence, do it - and hope for Adelai!

Our tour guide, Adelai, was wonderful. She was extremely knowledgeable about all things New Orleans. We absolutely LOVED her choices for food stops along the way. Great combination of authentic New Orleans food and history/background of the area in the Garden District on Magazine Street. Adelai, our tour guide, was extremely knowledgable about different foods and the area in general. My husband is a history buff and we were impressed by the quality of the food and general historical information about the area, foods, cooking etc.

This was the best tour I have ever been on. Our Cajun guide I don’t remember her name starts with an A, she is a book of food, cajun and history of food knowledge. We learned so much about Louisiana as well. If you come to NOLA it’s in your best food interest to go on this tour, Esther from San Antonio!

We LOVED this tour, our favorite of three. Our guide EJ was a former history teacher and his stories were fantastic. So much enthusiasm for the area .... we were ready to look for real estate. Ad the food ... omg ... so delicious. Starting with the first bite to the last, all were delicious. Highly recommend this tour through the very cool Garden District. We spent prior night a bit overwhelmed by Bourbon Street excess the night before so our time on this tour truly made us fall in loe with NOLA.

This tour was absolutely amazing! Mark our tour guide was wonderful! He was so knowledgeable about the food and culture of New Orleans. Not only did we eat some really delicious food but we learned a lot as well. The restaurants that were chosen were done so very wisely and gave a great variety and really showed how much range New Orleans food culture has. If you’re going to do an activity in New Orleans this is it. Please come hungry cause your going to leave full. 10 out of 10 highly recommended.
