Everything was perfectly paced. Pick up was on time. No issues with anything. I saw children of all ages here. I felt that we got enough time everywhere. The university stop was interesting and long maybe try shorter time at the university and more time at coyocan. I loved the jewlery presentation on the boat and I purchased some gifts. Highly recommend

Alberto (Pepe) our tour guide and Rafael our driver were very friendly. Both were knowledgeable. Pepe was helpful taking our pictures. We forgot to bring cash and he helped us. He also recommended a few places to visit after our tour. Xochimilco and Coyoacan are beautiful places to visit, very colorful and the food/drinks we had at Xochimilco was very delicious.

A good way to see the sights for the 1st time

Candace_J, Mar 2026
Our experience turned out to be a 'private' tour because the others in our group didn't arrive on time. So that meant we could go at our own pace and stop at a couple shops while walking. The elements didn't disappoint; they were all part of a good first visit to get to know the areas (this was not our first visit). The stadium and UNAM were my least favorite, as there was not much to see, but Xochimilco was as fun as ever.

Would not recommend this tour nor the guide

YiWei_L, Feb 2026
Aztec stadium is closed for world cup repairs but this was not mentioned at purchase page. Guide Melissa was not the most knowledgeable and only gave 1 or 2 facts about xochimilco which was just a 1hr trajineras ride without hopping off and on to the houses which other tours would let you visit. Felt like i missed out on a lot. Only good recommendation from Melissa was other museums to visit after the tour. Would not recommend this tour nor the guide Driver Roberto was great- picked us up and dropped us where requested and was fast and quick and yet safe. Hence the 2 stars.

Great experience with awfull food

Its a must to do experience. We spend some time on a local.shop and we passed quickly for just a photo from the stadium.and the University. The rode with the boat was nice. Food however was awful. Bring your own food

Not exactly what we expected

Alberto_J, Dec 2025
The day activity did not follow the schedule we had paid for. After the pickup, we got transferred to another vehicle with a new guide (not the name originally provided by the company). The visit to university was skipped and we were taken to a jewellery shop instead. The one hour in Coyoacan became 30 minutes of free time. The Xochimilco was as expected, beautiful and very touristy. Thankfully, the driver agreed to drop us off close to the university instead of our hotel and we could visit the murals on our own. Overall we had a nice day.

Great first day in CDMX

Rubbish!!!!! Avoid!

Catrin_S, Nov 2025
Where do I start?!: DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THIS TOUR. 1) This tour is advertised as being in English only. It was not, it was in both Spanish and English. This is not an issue in and of itself but the listing should be updated for transparency. 2) The tour did not start at 8am. It took nearly 2 hours to pick everyone up and we didn’t get to the first stop until 10.30am. 3) The first stop was NOT included in the itinerary listed on Viator and can only be described as a TOURIST TRAP. We spent over an hour looking at pure tat and were left wondering when the actual tour was going to start. Coffee and a mezcal cream shot were free which was a small plus. 4) After spending an hour at the tat shop, we were excited to arrive at the arena and university and start the tour (This was now around 11.30am). Unfortunately, we spent a mere 15 minutes in total at both. The guide’s Explanation was severely lacking and inaccurate. 5) At xochimilco we spent another 20 minutes waiting around for a boat with no explanation from the guide. Food and drinks were good but very expensive and anything paid for by card was subject to a 5% surcharge. 6) Overall, the guide was TERRIBLE and her English was only ok at best. She gave no information at Xochimilco or the arena and The only info provided in Coyoacan was that there was a church on the main square. My guide book gave me more information. What a waste of time and money.

Xochimilco, Aztec Stadium, UNMA and Coyoacan

AnaM_M, Oct 2025
It was a full day from pick up at your airport to drop off at same location! It was worth the time as sites were very cultural, historic, and artistic! Melissa our tour guide and Ricardo our driver were engaging, informative, insightful and consistently attentive to our questions and needs! Xochimilco was a cultural experience being in the trajenera and discovering the floating gardens on the canals and having authentic Mexican food! It was also an engaging opportunity to get to know our small tour group! A must tour when in Mexico City!

Good Experience

Anya_L, Jul 2025
I gave it a 4 stars because there are a few things I could have done better. Tour started at 9 but between moving us and collecting all the tour people we ended up heading to xochimilco at 11:15 am or so. We know it’s not the tour guides fault as he “Sergio” was very very nice and knew what he was talking about when he gave us the facts and tips about the city. But spending 1 hour at a silver shop was not part of the tour. I was ok but my very American husband was annoyed by the wasted two hours. Once we arrived at xochimilco OMG beautiful experience! Then the rest of the tour was nice and simple . Coyoacan a beautiful town in the city (like the ones you expect from the movies.)

You need to book this tour!

Laura_M, Jul 2025
Freddie and our driver Panda were so fun!! Freddie had alot of knowledge on history and was great at explaining. My family and I will be back.

top time with viator

Somanath_M, Jul 2025
I am new to mexico. I was dropped in an unknown far off place than University Olympic Stadium where I was picked for today trip. I had very less cash and I couldn't pay full amount to driver/Uber. Viator should be tourist-friendly.

Response from Host, Jul 2025

Hi Soman, thank you for your feedback. We’re very sorry that the drop-off location caused you difficulty. We’d like to clarify that your booking was made after 9:00 PM the day before the tour. As clearly explained in both the tour description and your ticket, bookings made after this time do not include hotel pick-up. The standard procedure is for guests to meet us at Fiesta Americana Reforma. Despite your address being outside our designated pick-up area, our team made a special exception and arranged to meet you near Estadio Olímpico, closer to where you were staying. This was done purely to help and is not part of the normal itinerary. We understand arriving in a new country can feel disorienting, and we genuinely tried to make the experience easier for you. We encourage all guests to read the booking details carefully to avoid confusion. If there's anything else you’d like to share or clarify, we’re happy to help directly.

Awesome tour to see Coycacan and Xochimilico!!

Ken_T, Jun 2025
The neighborhood of Coycacan is amazing and vibrant and was definitely one of the highlights of this tour. Donte our tour guide was great in explaining sightseeing points around Mexico City. The Xochimilico was awesome to see in person and I had a blast with the group. Overall, great tour.

Did not provide the service I paid for

Melany_V, Jun 2025
I had booked this experience to go to the UNAM, the stadium, Xochimilco and Coyoacán, as stated. However, without any warning, our tour was diverted to sccomodate some very inconsiderate tourists (that's unrelated to my rating of this tour). Weeks before the tour, I had told the company that I was getting a ticket to go to the Frida Kahlo museum after the tour and I would not return with the rest of the group. So instead of getting what I paid for, we added a tour of the city Center to accommodate the new group which most of us had already done. And I had to miss the the UNAM because my Frida Kahlo ticket was timed entry. If they had in any way communicated to us that this was happening, I would have been much less upset, but the lack of communication in addition to just not getting what I paid for has left a very sour taste in my mouth. I would very much caution against using this company.

Well worth it

Jane_H, Apr 2025
There were an additional six women traveling together on my tour. Our guide Dante was knowledgeable and helpful. He went out of his way to understand the things that each of us responded to. One hour on a trajinera is enough to get a good sense of the Xochimilco floating gardens. I wish we had spent a bit more time in Coyoacan historic center.

Our guide Marco was very knowledgeable and helpful! Coyoacán is beautiful use your time there to get the avocado ice cream and their churros, they are the best. The Xochimilco portion was very beautiful, the food is delicious. Please support the local jewelers that will share their creations.

Our family visit to Xochimilco

Gerardo_G, Mar 2025
Juan and Andrés were outstanding! Our group consisted of 6 adults and 2 children. The van was clean, comfortable, air conditioned. We visited Coyoacan, UNAM, and Estadio Azteca on our way to Xochimilco. We spent several hours in the van. Juan spoke both Spanish and English. He joked about knowing only 40 words in English but he spoke it fluently. Both Juan and Andres were great. Their patience, knowledge, professionalism, charisma, was more than outstanding. They are one of the best guides we’ve ever experienced. We had an amazing time!

Not the best

Xema_Q, Mar 2025
It was meh. The itinerary was misleading. We didn’t go inside the stadium and during the tour it was just taking pictures on the outside where Dante, our tour guide, also explained the history of UNAM. It should be mentioned in the tour that entry to the stadium isn’t possible due to the World Cup construction. The tour shouldn’t be offered on Mondays — we were taken to the Frida Kahlo museum but to only take pictures in front of it since CDMX closes its museums on Mondays, another thing that should be mentioned before the tour. At two stops we only had five minutes each - outside the Frida Kahlo museum because it was closed, and also at a plaza at the Coyoacan stop. Stopping for 5 minutes at the plaza didn’t really make any sense since it was were a lot of items were being sold. Most of the time was just riding around. At Xochimilco the food was overpriced which may be typical at tourist spots. Dante wasn’t the best — he could’ve been more enthusiastic and he seemed to be rushing the tour. It was nice that he dropped off my group at our desired location.

It was a mixed bag

robert_m, Mar 2025
It included a trip to a jewellry making shop in an industrial back street and a boat trip up a small river. Both are tourist traps. You don't have to buy anything but your encouraged to. I wouldn't recommend buying food on the boat trip. The Azteca stadium tour was disappointing as you were only allowed to stand outside due to world cup preparations.

Response from Host, Apr 2025

Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry the tour didn’t meet your expectations. Your input helps us grow, and we hope to provide a better experience in the future. Again, we’re very sorry it wasn’t what you were expecting.

Decent experience for the price

Kelsie_E, Feb 2025
I did this experience over a year ago, so there might be some changes. I do feel the guide could have communicated more clearly, and some sightings were rushed. However, we did see the items on the itinerary and it was a fun experience. Be prepared to spend a bit of time in the vehicle, however.

Solo in CDMX

Andrea_H, Feb 2025
Our guide, Sammy, was incredibly knowledgeable, weaving together fascinating stories of the city’s past while showing us key landmarks. This tour is a great option for those wanting to see multiple cultural and historical highlights in one day. It’s especially enjoyable for those who love a mix of history, sports, and local traditions. The Xochimilco boat ride and Coyoacán’s charm were the biggest highlights. A must-do if you have a full day to explore!
