This corn tortilla making class was an absolute highlight of our trip to Mexico City! Ariane was an exceptional host and instructor—knowledgeable, warm, and genuinely passionate about sharing the history and technique behind traditional corn tortillas. From learning about nixtamalization to grinding the masa and pressing tortillas by hand, every step was hands-on and engaging. Ariane explained everything clearly and made the experience fun and accessible, even for complete beginners. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and we truly felt immersed in Mexican food culture rather than just attending a cooking class. Best of all, the tortillas we made were fresh, flavorful, and incredibly satisfying to eat. This experience was educational, authentic, and delicious. If you’re interested in Mexican cuisine and want a meaningful, memorable activity, we cannot recommend this class with Ariane highly enough!
