Great intellectual experience

Ramon was a delightful tour guide. The excursion led us through the subway & the blue line cable bus where we were treated to a local market and delicious lunch. Along the way Ramon explained many important historical facts as well as explanations of local culture & things important to Mexican people. Experiencing the city this way is highly recommended if you truly enjoy understanding the culture! Culmination of our little journey at Garabaldi square where locals hang out. We said cheers @ a pulqueria & said our fairwells then finished our day walking around Historic down town. Enjoyable person to meet, we sincerely loved the conversations!

Ramon gave us a personal and detailed new layer of knowledge about CMX. We were a small group of 5 friends with various interests. Ramon was warm and gave us a sense of walking and talking with a friend. He could answer our questions on history, politics, geology, culture and customs …. Travelling on transit and walking less touristed paths (we didn’t see another group all day) with someone that was proudly describing their home was a highlight of our time here. Food was great, drink was … interesting! Thank you so much, 10/10!

I must say thanks to Cecilia who was very knowledgable and spoke both English/Spanish very well...for the amazing tour .All the places in the tour were interesting including travel by metro but obviously cablebus ride was the most enjoyable part..we had food in a local market in the Iztapalapa area and the local Mexican drink Pulque at the end of tour at Garibaldi ,both were very authentic ..I would recommend this tour especially with Cecilia any day ...

From start to finish the tour was well executed. Cecilia gave an excellent introduction at the meeting location of what to expect and she delivered. She was not rushed and answered all our questions. Unlike routine tour of museums this tour presented an interesting cultural overview of real places and real people. Would definitely highly recommend.

Didn't even do the tour as I got a message to say the tour is cancelled whilst I was waiting for the tour. I wonder if I hadn't had messaged would I have been informed the tour was cancelled??

Pricey and lengthy for what it is

Our tour guide, Vijay, was excellent! He was very informative, friendly and flexible. He answered all of our questions and was very thoughtful and helpful. However, this is one of several tours with Viator that did not give enough info in the description. This tour includes a long metro ride during rush hour and was in total 4.5 hours long (and we asked to cut things out of the tour, which Vijay obliged). It’s not kid-friendly for very young children. Plus a ride on the cable buses is only 7 pesos from stop to stop. Much cheaper to do on your own if you don’t want/need a guide.

Our guide Lionel was fantastic. The tour lived up to everything promised and then some. Lionel showed us around Iztapalapa, where he grew up, and really taught us about the history of the area and through it the history of Mexico City. Riding the CableBus to see how most Mexico City residents actually live was fascinating, from the rooftop murals to the sounds of the city and the multiple libraries housed in decommissioned 737s. Trying Pulque was a treat and the peppermint-flavored version was my favorite. Very delicious! This tour is a must-do for anyone who wants to safely visit outside the tourist areas of central Mexico City.

Aaron explained us a lot about Mexiko and its history. The museum was very interesting and the highlight was the viewpoint on top of it. The tour with the gondola was impressive – we would recommand to everybod who wants to know more about Mexiko than just the typical touristic stuff. We ate the best tacos in town and tasted some locald beverages. Thanks a lot to Aaron for this wonderful experience! All the best for you.

Leonel is a very nice guy! He is knowledgeable, patient and looked after us the whole time. We took the metro and cable car across the city, tried taco and pulque, bought traditional candies and got to know lots of fun stories about the city. It was a very pleasant tour. Would definitely recommend it to anyone.
