This churro making class was an awesome experience for my entire family. My kids are 12 + 9yo. They were engaged throughout the class and had fun. Andrea was a great host and shared two recipes with us: churros and cafe de olla, a traditional preparation of Mexican coffee. Everything was delightful.

The experience was fantastic. From start to finish we were shown how to prepare the churros and then how to cook them properly.
It was a very casual environment and we talked about lots of things besides churros. It was a great way to start our day. And the churros were delicious!

This was an intimate cooking class with a warm, welcoming setting. Andrea felt like an old friend from the start! She was quite knowledgeable about culinary concepts and was a fantastic host. Her cat, Bicho, was an excellent guest experience manager. We felt comfortable and at ease throughout the experience. The churros were delicious and the coffee was divine. We were even given a small to go bag to carry our leftovers with us. I strongly recommend spending time with Andrea and Bicho!

My husband and made this experience one of our first stops on our trip and we know our afternoon with Andrea will be hard to beat. She was so kind and personable. It didnt take long before she made us feel right at home chatting away in her peaceful apartment. The ingredients for the churros were prepared in advance and she carefully walked us through every step of the process. Ultimately we ended the day with the knowledge of making this delicious treat and a new friend.

I had the best time and experience with the churro making class!!! I went with my husband and mother in law and we all agreed that this was the best thing that we did while visiting the city!! It was nice to have a slower paced activity where we learned how to make delicious churros, and enjoy the company of our amazing host and the others that were in the same session as us. If you are looking for an activity where you want to enjoy cooking, the company of others, and an overall amazing time I would highly recommend!!!!

The teacher was nice and we did learn how to make churros but I’m surprised by the age parameters in the description. I would not call this a family friendly activity but better for couples. I paid the adult price for each member of my family which included a 7, 10 and 12 year old. We were given the same space and supplies as the two other couples in the class. I had to referee how to fairly divide the work among my kids which was stressful since we were in tight quarters. My husband basically sat on the couch the whole time. I was aware there would be hot oil and cautioned my kids about it in advance but the instructor voiced concerned about the stability of the table every time one my of kids touched it. An unexpected hazard that seems easy to remedy with a sturdier table. We feel like we overpaid for this experience. I think it would have been better if we got two stations and/or a child price was offered. FYI, there is a friendly cat in the apartment that the teacher put away upon request because of allergies in my family

A fantastic way to spend a few hours, Andrea is the perfect host and the venue is ideal for a relaxed and fun experience. My husband and I had a really lovely time with Andrea in her mother's home. First, it is in such an easy neighborhood to get to, close to a lot of things to see and do before and after your class. Andrea said she wanted to make the experience seem like you were in a friend's house, and that's exactly what it felt like. Andrea was also so prepared for everything - she had lactose free milk, and when one person had an allergy that I think wasn't mentioned she quickly pivoted. She made sure to keep a good energy with the group and made making churros seem so easy to do. They ended up being delicious and a great way to spend the afternoon. We would definitely recommend this fun experience to anyone visiting CDMX!

Such a fun experience! My girlfriend and I love churros and cooking, so this was a no-brainer us. It turned out as well as we could have hoped. You get to do all the steps of the process and learn the tips and tricks only a local master would know. At the end, there were so many churros we couldn’t even finish them all.
We were in with a large corporate group, but we all got plenty of time practicing churro making and got to all get a little messy.
I’d recommend checking out the area afterwards! We just so happened to be staying over there, and it was in a really cute neighborhood. Just all in all a great experience!

Wonderful experience! Our kind teacher welcomed us into her kitchen to teach us how to make churros and chocolate sauce coupled with Mexican coffee. Our kids (4 and 9) had a great time mixing the ingredients and helpingn squeeze the batter to be fryed and coated in suagr before we got to dig in and enjoy the fruits of our efforts. The whole thing took about 1.5 hours so our kids were able to stay on task and enjoy without getting bored.
