I had an amazing time on this excursion! It was a lot of fun, and while a bit challenging, it made the experience even more rewarding. I’d say you should be in reasonably good shape to fully enjoy it. Our guide Carlos was fantastic—very attentive and patient, making sure we had enough breaks and time to take pictures. Highly recommend!

Carlos was an amazing tour guide and was able to pick us up from our air bnb throughout the whole tour he was great. Definitely would go again

DO NOT Miss This Tour While in Medellin! MUST DO!!!!

Cristen_D, Feb 2026
This is a MUST DO! This tour beats all the others by miles. You will need to be mildly active to do it, but I was battling the worst day of allergies and still was able to power through and have quite literally the best time while here in Medellin. We did the mountain climb and the zipline and the experience will take your breath away. Diego is super patient and kind and I highly recommend you request him for the tour. Gorgeous, beautiful and the pictures do NOT do it justice. Worth every single penny.

Fun and adventurous

Luisa was an amazing tour guide. She was extremely patient because with all the hiking my sisters and we stopped a lot because of the higher elevation. She was also, very accommodating to our needs. The zip lining and waterfall were amazing and beautiful. I would do it again

For this activity you...

For this activity you don't reserve a spot in a group, but it is pretty much a private activity. I was not aware of this initially but it allowed the guide (Luisa) to offer flexibility throughout the day and give a personalized experience. Overall, I would give the activity and Luisa a 10/10. The ziplining was great and the views were gorgeous. The hike towards the waterfall was rather short, but you also get to spend as much time as you want there to enjoy it. Even if the zipline and the hike themselves are done rather fast, the natural reserve has facilities where you can sit back and enjoy a meal, some drinks, or just relax and enjoy view. As for Luisa, she was super kind and friendly, and had a lot of information and tips to share about Medellín, the towns we drove past, and the natural reserve. Besides that, she had a good structure for the activities for the whole day while also offering us flexibility to take some breaks or move things around.

Worth every penny

This zip line was wild! soaring over mountains jungle and waterfalls felt like a dream. But honestly Laura made it even better. She was super friendly made sure we felt safe the whole time and went out of her way to help and thought of little details most people wouldn’t think of. Total legend.

Highly recommend!

Amazing experience, highly recommend! Diego was incredible and we loved the zip lining and waterfall, definitely worth doing

Wow ! What a thrill

Tony_G, Sep 2025
I don’t ever write reviews for anything. Ever. But this was an absolute amazing experience. Diego is an amazing guide, the scenery is breathtaking. Opt in for the waterfall climb, it’s a bit intimidating at first but a once in a lifetime experience. The zip line is a thrill. I will however say you have to be somewhat in decent physical shape and have some stamina to complete this comfortably. If you are considering booking this experience, just do it. Trust

Loved this hike to the waterfall

Natalia_P, Jun 2025
I loved this tour. Diego picked us up in an SUV and drove us to another town. Very scenic route. It was just my boyfriend, me, and the tour guide. Stopped in a cute local cafe for breakfast and then headed to the final destination through an old town and up to the mountains. Up and up for a couple of hours. I believe 8,000 ft elevation. We hiked and zipline on a private property and we were the only tourists there. Friendly staff throughout. Highly recommend it! I suggest trying some of the soft drinks made on site that they sell at the little bar by the zipline.

Exceptional experience in Medellin

Zachary_S, Jun 2025
From start to finish, this experience was incredible. Our guide Diego was knowledgeable, chill, and all around down to earth. Felipe was super funny and knowledgeable as well. The price is extremely fair considering you get private transportation to and from, along with snacks. The drive is a couple hours so bring some snacks and water. Also bring some sunscreen and bug spray. 10/10 recommend.

Unforgettable

jarolin_j, May 2025
This was a amazing experience, besides the waterfall the unforgettable mountains and the thrill of the zoo liner having Andres as our tour guide made this experience even better. He was amazing and attentive.

A beautiful experience

Tiarrah_W, Jan 2025
I had the best time on this with Diego and Laura. The 2 ziplines were so exciting and climbing the Ferrara trail was amazing. The waterfall is a great photo op, but the spray from the base of it is FREEZINGGGG. it’s definitely a lot of hiking, not good if you’re not in shape, lol we were hugging and puffing but it was an amazing time.

Ziplining was incredible!...

Jennifer_F, Dec 2024
Ziplining was incredible! Beautiful views over the waterfalls. You do get to go “twice”, there and back. We then did the hike down to the waterfall base. Worth the hike but be aware that if it’s wet out, the ground can be very slippery. Also I recommend bringing a change of clothes, at the base of the waterfall you get absolutely soaked (sneakers, socks and all). Note there is also an hour of unpaved bumpy road on the way there and back. Well worth it!

A fantastic excursion....

Eoghan_M, Dec 2024
A fantastic excursion. The zip line was a thrill. The operation was first class so I never felt unsafe. I was with my daughters (20 and 23) and we all agreed it was the best day in Colombia. Diego was very friendly, spoke great English and entertained us with lots of information during the two hour drive from Medellin. The drive itself through the Andes was fascinating. Unless you are in good shape, I would skip the waterfall climb. But if you are physically capable, it was even more fun than the zip line. For reference, I am 58 and in decent shape. It was certainly a challenge but worth it.

It is simply amazing, you...

Jeanelly_E, Dec 2024
It is simply amazing, you will not regret doing this excursion. We had our tour guide Nikolai and he was amazing. Will definitely recommend this tour if you want to experience something different and love nature

Incredible family adventure!

We had the most wonderful time! Nikolai was an incredible guide, from pick up, to the stunning hike, waterfall, and lunch it was perfect from beginning to end!!!

Unforgettable adventure! !

Luis_G, Nov 2024
We had an amazing time on the zipline, soaring through stunning landscapes with breathtaking views. The adrenaline rush was incredible, and the waterfall at the end was absolutely beautiful – a perfect spot to relax and take in nature. Our guide, Diego, was fantastic—knowledgeable, friendly, and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this adventure!

Perfect Day

Kathryn_S, Oct 2024
Incredible trip. Diego is the BEST tour guide and so kind. It was extremely relaxing and beautiful. We highly recommend doing the Via Ferrata as that was a top experience of this trip. The food at the restaurant was delicious and everyone was so nice. It was the perfect day. I wish I could re-live it every day. Best day of the trip and the views cannot be beat.

Incredible thrill!

Luke_S, Oct 2024
The zip line was an incredible adrenaline rush and nothing to be afraid of. For my first time zip lining, it was an easy experience with an amazing view. Our driver Alexander was great in the drive to and from and also had plenty of information about Medellín and recommendations for restaurants.

Perfect day!

Max_F, Sep 2024
What an exhilarating experience! Hiking the waterfall face was a challenge and so rewarding! Food was excellent as well as the attentiveness of the staff.

Fall in love with the view

Suyin_R, Sep 2024
We were picked up right in time in a comfortable car by Laura. From the get go we were in interesting conversation with her. And the two hour ride passed by like nothing as she is only 24 but know so much aboit her country in all areas as environment, social issues, politics, economical, daily life. I could ask her anything and she was so honest and educational about Medellìn and Colombia. As she is a biologist she knows her nature. The town to get to the ecopark was a short stop but very good filling local snacks. And a bit of the feel of an local not touristy town. After that you go into the nature for the next hour. The eco park has such a beatiful view. I was only smiling. And than on the hike to the waterfall you see avocado trees, brocolli plants. And Laura showed us what we could pick of the tree and eat. The waterfall itself is such a exhilirating experience. I haven't really seen waterfalls so I was very much impressed. And you become soaking wet by just standing and watching the waterfall which makes you feel wonderfully alive. The hike is ok not to long. After the café has an amazing view. Just drinking your coffee and sitting there. We did the zipline which is a go and a come back ovet an amazing view. And experience of 20 min. So the day is very balanced their are the two activities but also time to just chill and see the view. I really enjoyed myself. Thank you Laura and thanks to beautiful Colombia.

The site is unbelievable and the guide person was top notch

Fantastic! Our guide Diego was really friendly and took us to a great bakery in la Ceja. The waterfall was stunning and so was the view from the zipline. Overall a great day out thanks guys :)

Ruendy_M, Aug 2024
I recommend this tour to anyone, if you love nature you most do it, our tour guy Javier was excellent.

Fun and exhilarating!

Ronald_B, Aug 2024
We enjoyed our trip to salto del buey. The ziplining is fun, exhilarating and beautiful! Love the landscape of the place. We also hiked down to waterfall which is also beautiful. Our guide diego is very nice and drove us safely back and forth. I also appreciate the insta 360 video that is included on the trip, got a good footage of the ziplining. My only suggestion, i hope the lunch is already included to the trip with the cost of the trip i think it is fair. Overall, it was a great experience!

An Exhilarating Escape to Nature

Alexander_F, Jul 2024
This trip is an absolute must for anyone visiting the Medellin area! A driver conveniently will pick you up from your residence and drive you out to a beautiful, breathtaking camp ground high in the mountains. It was truly one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen. The zip line is pure exhilaration. For a few minutes, it’s just you and nature, as you glide over a gorgeous waterfall. I’m someone who’s afraid of heights, but the beauty of the valley was too much to pass up. I definitely recommend sturdy shoes or boots for the hike. The stairs get steep and slippery, but definitely don’t pass up the trek to the waterfall. And if you can request a tour guide/driver, ask for Alex! He made our day relaxing, informative, and welcoming. 10/10

Great experience!

Dorianne_G, Jul 2024
First timer! The place is amazing and the waterfall is beautiful. Our tour guide was Laura and she was great. The staff at the facility was great too. Via Ferrata was scary but definitely a must. The coffee was the best I had on my entire trip to Colombia. 100% recommended!!!! PS Long pants, comfortable sneakers or boots and bug repellant are a MUST!

Try it!

Christopher_W, Jun 2024
Great experience! Friendly staff. We recommend it for anyone looking to see Medellín’s natural beauty.

Most extroadinary moment of our whole vacation

Samantha_T, May 2024
10/10 If I had the opportunity to do this again, I would do it in a heartbeat. This was an absolute incredible and memorable trip. First of all, I want to shout out LAURA, who was the most knowledgeable, sweet, and friendliest tour guide that we had on this excursion. She picked up both my husband and I from El Poblado and drove us through the mountains to the small town of La Ceja where we indulged in some Colombian delicacies before continuing on the trip. Talking to her came so easy to us, it was like we knew each other in another life time haha the road to the mountains were filled with many twists and turns, the driving was exceptional, we were so impressed. We always felt so safe. The experience overall just is so indescribable. The hike down to the waterfall was not very long, when we got there I was just speechless. I just felt like crying from being so amazed at the beauty of this waterfall and its surroundings. We opted to choose to climb back up the side of the waterfall which is optional. You do need to be fairly in shape if youre going to climb up the side as there were moments where you needed to pull yourself up on the ladder. This was the most physical exertion day for us, we lost around 1500 calories according to my apple watch lol The zip line was also just such a seamless process. One of the most extraordinary moments was flying over the waterfall and seeing the rainbow appear below me. The zipline there are two total. The top one requires additional hiking, I would just make sure youre ready to hike and be physically active on this adventure. Good shoes, good amount of water, etc.
