Nicholas is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to utilizing the local fruits and cocktail making. The fruit tasting was a great way to experience something that we do not get where we live and the added bonus of learning some tricks and good guidelines of utilizing the fruits to make a cocktail. The hands on experience was amazing and I will carry this knowledge forever. I highly recommend this experience while in Medellín!

One of my favorite things to do when traveling is going to a market to see what other fruits and vegetables are available in countries that I cannot get in the US. What better way to try local fruits with a mixology class?!? Everything was well prepared for us and we tried all of the fruits before making our own cocktail to share with the group. I would definitely take this mixology class again when I come back to Medellín!

I had an awesome time at the mixology and fruit tasting class! I crafted some of the best drinks ever and even got a taste of all the fruits of Columbia. The real highlight was when the instructor whipped up the perfect drinks for both me and a friend based on our favorite flavors. If you’re into personalized cocktails and learning cool mixology tricks, this is the class for you!

We booked a Spanish session but ended up being an English session because of the rest of the attendees. The terrace where is being held is super pretty, recommending the sunset session. Nicolas is kind and has a lot of bartending skills and the experience is about 3h (2h of introduction of him and fruits and 1h of preparing your own drink - which is lots of fun). The whole session could improve if the group gets to know each other with integration dynamics rather than a extense introduction of Nicolas and the fruits.

This was such a thoughtfully planned 2 hour experience! Nicolas let us all sample the fruit first so that we could be familiar with the flavor, texture and acidity of each fruit. Next he taught us some essential principles to keep in mind when making a cocktail at home and even shared his own recipes for make syrups from some of the same fruits we sampled!

I had a great time learning about fruits and cocktails with Nicolas. It was a great activity to introduce yourself to Colombia, from a very knowledge and fun local (it's Mede-Gin, like “gin”, truest words from an experienced cocktail mixologist indeed!) I booked solo but Nicolas messaged to group me with others so if you're a little bit flexible you could meet other travellers too. I've since roamed around Colombia confidently eating some of those fruits I learnt at the class (for context, I'm a Brit). If in doubt, book it!

We had an amazing fruit and drink experience with Nicolas. He introduced us to a variety of fresh and local fruits that we’d never tasted before and how to use them to mix exciting drinks. I booked this experience on a whim not really sure what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised by how enjoyable it was. The host was very engaging and fun in his interactions. The group size was perfect (5 persons) and as a solo traveler it was perfect for me to receive individual attention yet still make friends with others. Tasted many local fruits which we would never have sampled otherwise. Got a good, quick lesson on how to create a cocktail from our favorite fruits and favorite liquor. Created our own cocktail. Mixed it and sampled our creations. Nicholas guided us through this all. He was a very creative, knowledgeable and funny bartender. Would highly recommend this tour for anyone that enjoys drinks, rooftops, and is curious and creative about cocktails.

Nicolás was great. He is so knowledgeable and such a great time. Me and my mother booked this class together. It just so happens that the timeslot on the day we picked allowed us to be the only people there. So we got an amazing private experience. This was our last activity in Medellin before we headed back home the next day. It was such a great way to end the trip. Some fruits were familiar, others I had never seen or heard of before. Everything was delicious and I loved making my own custom cocktail. The drinks Nicolas made for us were perfect.

What a fun way to end our visit to Medellin! Our bartender was fun and very knowledgeable. We learned a lot about various fruits I have never seen in the US and we got to create our own cocktails with them! The rooftop view was an extra bonus!

My friends and I were originally looking for a cooking class but after coming across this class, we knew we had to try it! Our instructor, who was very knowledgeable I might add, provided an incredibly welcoming, fun and informative experience at the Rango Hostel rooftop bar. We got to learn about and try a variety of fruits that are common around Medellin, as well as how they can be used in cocktails. Even as a group of 7, we each got to make a cocktail to share amongst everyone. If you like tasting cocktails and learning something new, I would highly recommend!

Nicolas does a great job of teaching the flavors of Colombian fruits and how to mix them with different spirits. We got to try fruits we had never tasted , syrups that were new to us in a nice rooftop setting with good views. At the end he even let us take away samples of the fruits. You can tell he is passionate about what he does and that adds to the fun. And it was great to “invent “ our own cocktails—we enjoyed the participatory parts as well.
