Day trip to La Noria

Chris_X, Mar 2026
A good look at life in a small town outside of Mazatlan La Noria. Lunch at the restaurant there was very enjoyable. Leaving about how the dancing horses are trained and getting to see it live was very cool. While we have been to Los Osuna tequila farm before, we actually got to see the agave being cooked and then shredded to get the syrup out.

A good way to see the area around Mazatlan

kevinzazzara, Feb 2026
A great way to see a bit of the beautiful area around Mazatlan. Visited 2 villages, had a good tequila tasting and a really good lunch. Jose (the tour guide) was great. He had lunch with us and he shared lots of personal stories along the way. We enjoyed the tour and would recommend it.

Our tours were cancelled without notification!

Liana_W, Jan 2026
Our tour got cancelled the very same day we arrived to the port . We found our driver who informed us that he texted me the night before to cancel the tour . Obviously we never received the text since we were in the middle of the ocean , so we could reschedule or re arrange either way another company. I haven’t received the money for the two tickets yet .

Tequila and Village Tour

Serge_A, Nov 2025
Carlos is a fantastic guide. We noticed his helpfulness and special care to all his passengers and locals in the towns we visited. We loved every stop of this tequila and village tour. The local people we met along the way were very accommodating. The lunch in La Noria was so delicious! Thank you for this experience.

Best day exploring countryside of Mazatlan

Alan_L, Apr 2025
Our guide "JOSE" provided us with a day to remember in Mazatlan. What a perfect, informative, kind and pleasant man. The entire day from small villages to The 🔵 Blue Agave farm to lunch in La Noria far exceeded our expectations. A day to remember. Will be requesting Jose again on my next adventure in beautiful Mazatlan, Mexico

No villages

Jill_L, Mar 2025
The tequila tour was interesting - although we didn't really enjoy the tequila (served warm) - the shops at the tequila factory were exceptionally overpriced. The shopping at 3 villages wasn't really a thing we stopped at one place with 2 or 3 shops and that was the extent of the "villages". Really disappointed. The tour guide was nice and friendly but the tour as a whole was a let down.

Tequila Factory Tour

Aileen_B, Mar 2025
This was a wonderful experience! We had Chuy (Jesus) as our driver and he was very informative along our trip to the tequila factory. He was very knowledgeable about the tequila making process since there was no actual tour guide there and let's just say, I'm now a fan of artesanal tequila! We stopped in a small town called La Noria and had a delicious lunch! Definitely go on this tour!

The guide was an amazing gentleman, so respectful of our time, enjoyment and experience. A surprise highlight was the dancing horses.

Fun with friends and wife

David_E, Feb 2025
Our tour guide was fantastic took us to see the dancing horses and a small home where they made this fudge like candy stopped to show us several different things that were not mentioned on the add and the tequila was excellent and great price bought 6 bottles

If Jose is your tour...

Pascale_L, Jan 2025
If Jose is your tour guide you are in for an absolute treat. He is personable, friendly, thoughtful and knowledgeable. He brings a great sense of humour to the experience. It was overall a marvellous day. The tequila tour was also met by some amazing staff who took us through the tequila making process.

Great way to see something other than concrete.

Ward_G, Dec 2024
The Tequila plantation and La Noria village were definitely the high lights on this tour. Loved walking the village, great food at the restaurant. Our guide was engaging and knowledgeable.

Tequila Ranch And Shots

Josh_D, Nov 2024
Was overall good, we had some random stops like looking at dancing horses at a private man’s house and then seeing ppls death spots which was odd(come to find out it was just time killers) the actual time at the Ranch really only 1 hr or so and I was slamming as much tequila as possible before we headed to lunch…which was in a really small town of 400 ppl but man was really cool and the food was great.

Tracy_r, May 2024
Chit was a great guide. Enjoyed seeing all the sites and the tequila tour was a very nice visit. Lunch was amazing and very tasty

Fun and informative

Karen_S, Apr 2024
Raul our tour guide was very knowledgeable and made our tour very enjoyable. The tasting was great!!

Amazing tequila, horrible start

Scott_J, Apr 2024
Let me first start by saying Jesus was amazing, super knowledgeable and really great. The actual tequila tasting and lunch was also spectacular. If that was the tour, 5 starts. Unfortunately, it started with seeing “dancing horses” in a small town. One horse looked terrified and danced with 2 feet of rope tied to a concrete wall. Really did not enjoy, take that off the tour!

Great getaway

Paul_N, Apr 2024
Fantastic relaxing and laid back tour.Just visiting the countryside and some small towns. No pressure to buy anything. Good food good drinks...

Nice cultural and historical overview

Raymond_S, Apr 2024
The guide was knowledgeablel and friendly. The tequila was delicious. The trip overall was well worth it.

Didn't know about a "Dancing Horses" stop.

William_A, Apr 2024
Tequila distillery, lunch and leather shop was great! But unbeknownst to me this tour also had "Dancing Horses" stop at a farm where they train horses to "Dance" by chaining them 2 feet from a wall and forcing them to trot in place to loud music. It felt like abuse to me, but I guess it's a "thing" for some people.

Learning about...

Joyce_V, Apr 2024
Learning about agave/tequila and the tasting. Comfortable van ride. Guide was personable. (Actually, could have skipped the horse dancing bit.)

Great afternoon!

Thomas_M, Apr 2024
WE has a great afternoon with Ismail. He made the trip fun and informing for everyone! Nice place, I learned a lot about tequila production!

Tour and Tequila away from Mazatlan

Virgil_S, Apr 2024
We were picked up from our hotel in north Mazatlan. We were in a van with 11 tourists plus our driver and tour guide Ismael. We drove about 10 to 15 miles inland to a couple of small towns where we were entertained by a horse trainer with “dancing” horses. We passed through large fields of agave and maguey. We visited the Los Osuna distillery for a tour and three shots of Agave Azul. Our guide provided us with educational tour of the facility. I was a little impatient however to get to the drinks. There was a large crowd due to a number of other tour vans and tour buses present and one bar to dispense the drinks so there was initially no place to sit. Eventually a lot of folks cleared out. We sat around for awhile and were allowed to sample the more expensive brands for about 100 pesos a shot. We left for another local village where we had a good group lunch at a restaurant that we had paid for as part of the tour. We then were allowed to wander around the village which had a Sunday festival for about 20 minutes until we left and were returned to our hotel. We were out about 6 hours.

Village tour

Nancy_J, Apr 2024
Jose our tour guide was great! He was very knowledgeable and shared great information throughout the tour. He made everyone feel safe and welcomed. We enjoyed experiencing a very complete tour!

Great tequila experience

Jimmy_L, Apr 2024
Jesus was an excellent driver and guide. He even suggested a secondary tequila tasting location on way back to ship that was excellent. We enjoyed every minute of the tour and learned a lot from our guide.

Factory, guide

Boyka_K, Mar 2024
Tour guide Carlos was realt good.It was interesting to see blue agave plantation and tequila factory

Raul rules the road!

Michael_C, Mar 2024
Our driver Raul was very knowledgeable of the history and culture of the local area. He took the time to drive us through the historical districts of Mazatlan and point out some cool spots of interest. The villages he took us to were quaint and gave us an opportunity to interact with the locals. We had a wonderful traditional cooked lunch at a small roadside restaurant. Excellent! The tequila tour was interactive and interesting. We were able to witness the tradfitional process of tequila making and try some samples. Raul was a great host.

Great half day out from Mazatlán

Kevin_S, Feb 2024
Jesus was an informative tour guide. Enjoyed an excellent lunch in La Noria! Pleasant way to escape the hustle and bustle of Mazatlán and see the 'real' Mexico.

Great fun, great spirits.

Jessie_W, Feb 2024
Excellent tour guide that explained everything clearly so everyone understood the tequila making process.

Great Tour

John_H, Feb 2024
We were lucky enough to have had Carlos Ochoa for our tour guide. He was excellent and gave out much in the way of detail along the way. We visited the town of La Noria, a Tequila Factory, and the dancing horses. Also stopped for a an excellent lunch. Thank you Carlos for a great day!
