Best hiking tour in Puerto Vallarta
This is a not-to-miss excursion!!! Isaac was an amazing and thoughtful tour guide. We had a full day of fun and a gorgeous day for the hike. Parts of the hike have elevation and are technical, but doable for people in good health and relatively good shape. (All in our group are regular hikers.) The beauty of vistas for the duration of the trip cannot be captured well enough in photos or words. Our group swam in 2 of the beach coves and took a bit extra time at the first. We had fresh coconut water (opened by a local couple w/machete on the rocks) then the coconut "meat" chopped up with lime and salt, to eat. Fresh mango and papaya were also available, along with cold water and beer; all for purchase. The first 3 beaches required ascent and descent; the following 3 beaches were much easier access. It was hot - even in early March - and we were happy to reach the restaurant for an incredible meal (for purchase from an extensive menu) and refreshing drinks. All beaches are accessible ONLY by foot or boat. We started the trip in Zona Romantica at the meet-up spot (bus stop), hopped on the bus together, then got off at the end of the bus route (I love traveling on locals' bus routes). Once we exited the bus, we were in a beautiful, rustic, fishing town (last chance for bathroom - VERY rustic). Bring plenty of water, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, light snack (e.g. nuts). We would absolutely repeat this tour - WITH Isaac - and tell all to make the effort!

Tacos on Wheels!
Amazing way to see the city as well as enjoy tacos you wont be finding on your own. Homero was a great guide. One of the stops is a block down from where he grew up so he knows the area and the people in the restaurants he is taking you to. Very knowledgable about the city and gave a ton of insight into why things are like they are or done like they are all along the tour. I would highly encourage you to consider this tour for the history lesson, the culture, the sights, and, oh yeah, the amazing tacos!!

Private Tour of Sayulita and San Pancho
We had an incredible day with Pancho, visiting Sayulita and San Pancho. He shared so much about the area and its history. He may also be the most popular, well known guide in Jalisco! He knows everyone, and I think that added to the value of touring with him.

Great experience! Meeting...
Great experience! Meeting point was in Zona Romantica, then a private driver took us to Mismaloya. We met our tour guide Gabe there, and hopped on a boat with a short ride to Los Arcos. After a tour around the islands with lots of information about the surrounding area, it’s time to snorkel! Seeing the bioluminescence was so cool - not as dramatic as I thought it would be, but still awesome and definitely once in a lifetime for me. Gabe did a great job making sure everyone felt safe, and he was lovely to talk to! 10/10 experience.

Beyond expectations
We knew this would be a great experience based on the stellar reviews Manu has received for this class. Here are just a few extra tidbits. The market was spotless, the fish and produce fresh and plentiful, and our chef and the vendors like family. Manu’s culinary skills are world class. Ingredients simple with some unique herbs and spices added, preparation creative and masterful, and conversation open and friendly. The time flew by. It is no wonder that many of this chef’s students are repeat customers!

We had a great time, the boat ride was beautiful and the hike to the waterfall through the town of Yelapa was a highlight. The snorkeling was ok, very few fish to see but a fun experience.
The bbq was delicious, but the crew was our favorite part of the experience. Very welcoming and entertaining.

Worth it and then some!
This was a blast! Our guide Alfonso was a real beaut...honest, funny and knowledgeable. The cliff jump was a bit more than an absolute beginner would want...there was a six foot section of rock you had to scale up on your hands and knees, but that was right at the beginning of the activity. Then it was off to probably more than 1.5 hours of snorkeling and touring Los Arcos. Saw a TON of fish as soon as we dropped in, and did two separate snorkeling areas (one being the hidden beach). At the hidden beach, Alfonso's son Diego showed us a bunch of hermit crabs which were easy enough to watch and hold in hand, which was neat. All throughout the activity, Alfonso was generous with beers, sodas, water and granola-bar type snacks...very cool.
All in all, I can't recommend this one enough. Was super cool going through the caves that were under the little islands. I would def do again, and for sure get a hold of Alfonso for other tours like fishing and whatnot. Had a great time and loved every minute of it!

Don’t miss the lunch at Rancho Verano Disteria!
Our group of five visited the Rancho Verano as part of a Tour with the Botanical Gardens on January 23, 2025.. The Lunch was a highlight of our vacation in PV. We shared the kabobs, the shrimp and chicken were great but the beef was WONDERFUL! Not often 5 foodies agree - and this was a win all around. Highly recommend the lunch! The Tequila tasting was fun and generous, we purchased bottles to take home as souvenirs. The do not distribute to the US so we were really excited to find such high quality during a tour!! The Botanical Gardens are lunch and full of trails, plants and birds. The gift store is nice and the lunch (in a past trip) is very good. On this tour we choose to eat at the Rancho Verano Disteria.

There is some walking involved in the tour. It was a fun and educational tour. Daniel knows Puerto Vallarta and the surrounding areas very well. The tequila factory was very fun and interesting. There was a lot of tasting going on. Our driver, Sergio, was excellent.

Very happy with my booking
I had the pleasure of having Bernardo drive us around all the main areas of Puerto Vallarta. He explained everything from it's history to what was popular and he was just a very knowledgeable cool guy. My parents spoke Spanish and my son only speaks English and he translated everything for all of us to understand. I would book with him again!

This was a fantastic excursion!! Our driver and guide were great and super friendly, the jewelry store is a scam in the sense you only stop there to have a whole bunch of employees pushing you to buy silver, the margarita made it tolerable though lol. The butterfly part was amazing! We learned so much about butterflies. I would go there again in a heartbeat! The tequila tasting part was pretty great too!

Excellent day trip from Puerto Vallarta
This was a perfect day to spend away from the beach and resort. We learned a lot about the history of San Sebastián and how it relates to PV of today. Juan Carlos was a knowledgeable and entertaining guide. Stops were well timed breaking up the drive perfectly. It was a slow paced and relaxing day, which was perfect for us. Lunch was delicious!
