DO NOT BOOK A PRIVATE TOUR, IT DOES NOT EXIST!!!! I paid extra for a private tour with my partner for her birthday. I did it on live chat before I left the UK and double checked with the agent that it would be just the two of us on the balloon, which they confirmed twice! However, IT WAS NOT! There were 16 other passengers in the balloon! The flight itself turned out to be good as the pilot Elena was very good fun and extremely experienced. There were other reasons why I would NOT recommend this company as follows: We had agreed to be picked up by Cafe De France at 05:50. We waited from 05:40 until 05:55 before trying to call the agent. A guy answered and I had obviously woken him up from his sleep, he said to wait. We saw numerous tours leave while we were stood waiting still. We approached another guide at 05:55 and asked if we were booked onto his bus, he checked his list and he said no. Later approaching 06:15 I received a call from another guy who said we should be on that bus. So we set off at least 25 minutes late, having been left to stand around since 05:40 Do not expect this to be a sunrise tour, by the time we had set off the Sun was already in the sky. We were given no direction from the driver / guide and we had to fumble our way around the breakfast area before the flight. Eventually we were herded back onto the bus to wait another 15 minutes before heading off to the balloon site, with another unexpected stop en route for people to get out and take photos. All delaying tactics as there is absolutely no coordination or organisation here whatsoever. By the time we got into the balloon it was around. 8 am and the flight lasted approximately 30 minutes. I told the driver that we had paid for a private tour but he said this was a group tour. I absolutely do not recommend this company. You can get a group tour for much cheaper than they are charging. That said the flight itself was magnificent and I would do it again but absolutely not with these clowns! Breakfast after the flight left a lot to be desired with a load of deep fried and dried up bits of pastry, dry muffins and pancakes, two bowls of olives, one boiled egg and a bowl of olive oil! Not the lovely traditional, Berber breakfast we were expecting! If I had paid £200 for the flight, which is the price with some other companies, then I probably wouldn’t have felt so aggrieved - shop around before booking.

However, we would like to clarify a few important points to correct some of the information shared: 1.You booked a standard shared flight, not a private one. There is no mention of a private flight in your booking confirmation or in any official communication with us. A private flight is a separate service, priced at €550 per person, which was neither booked nor charged in your case. 2.Regarding the pick-up time, our driver was indeed present at the agreed meeting point on time. We understand that waiting can be frustrating, but we responded to your call as soon as we received it and did our best to guide you. 3.The hot air balloon departure time is always subject to weather conditions and safety clearances. On the day of your flight, the sky was partly cloudy, which delayed take-off. Passenger safety is our top priority. As for the sunrise, it is never guaranteed at an exact minute, especially in variable weather—this is beyond anyone’s control. 4.The breakfast served is traditional and consistent with what is described in our program. We are sorry if it did not meet your personal expectations, but it is a simple and authentic local meal. Lastly, we would like to emphasize that you did receive all the services included in your chosen package: round-trip transport, balloon flight, traditional breakfast, and flight certificate. As you mentioned yourself, your pilot was “very good fun and extremely experienced,” which we are glad to hear. We understand your disappointment if you were under the impression that you had booked a private flight, but in this case, there was no mistake on our part: everything stated in your booking was delivered accordingly. Brilliant experience

Our balloon ride was brilliant. We opted for a smaller group and there was 8 people in total. It was great for space to move around and be able to see everything. Our pilot, Yunis, was fantastic. We didn't go too high as the winds were stronger and we would end our flight faster. The views were amazing and we had a tea and snack before getting on and a traditional breakfast after. The whole thing was amazing, I would highly recommend.

Misleading tour description, price and experience

Misleading tour description. It’s not a private tour as priced and advertised but a shared tour and found them 30% more expensive than other shared morning tours including their own shared tour. Overall experience could have been better…it’s a 5 am pickup for almost 7:45 am flight (door to door could be 6 hours vs 5 hour in description), balloon didn’t get to higher elevation like most other balloons around us and finished in 35 min vs 45 min in description… with right price and right tour description this could have been a better rated tour.
