Felt safe on our first day

We felt very safe with Abdul and was easy enough to find him. Made navigation of the soul and square easy and he is very knowledgeable. Only thing I would point out (and not a criticism) is that if you are thinking of booking, be aware that as a guide he is not there to get you the best price or to barter or help with this- in this area you are on your own. I think he had contacts in the market where he was angling us but was happy for us to say no. For example there was a queue where we were taken for a meal with limited seating so we requested to move on and found another wonderful lunch area. We had to go to a booked trip and stayed with Abdul for 3 hours and he put us in a taxi at the exact time we needed to leave. Would highly recommend if you want to feel safe when arriving. If we came back we would go it alone but that’s not to say that the company and the knowledge was not of a high standard.

Private Walking Tour of Marrakech

Rachid was a nice guy, and his excellent local knowledge of the vast Souk and surrounding area made the experience far better than anything we could have done by ourselves, and helped us find our way around for the rest of our stay. We weren’t really looking to buy anything, therefore didn’t really spend much time looking around shops etc, but I don’t think it would have been a problem had we wanted to.
