I highly recommend this cooking class! It is a fantastic experience and exceeded our expectations. Chef Abdel and his team were very friendly, welcoming and made the whole experience so much fun. We visited the local market in the morning to purchase ingredients, and after that we started our hands on cooking. Chef showed us how to prepare multiple (not one) Moroccan Tagines, Couscous and Salads. All of them were delicious. Abdel speaks perfect English and is very funny and entertaining. The ambience of the entire place added to the whole experience. Don't hesitate to book. You will be next to leave a 5-star review.

    Cooking Moroccan with the best!!

Just a fantastic experience all around. Abdel and his team were outstanding. The atmosphere on farm was great. There were 8 of us, 4 from our group and 4 others. We prepared dishes of beef, lamb and chicken both sweet and savory. A large batch of couscous was also made. We also prepared all kinds of “salad” with a variety of vegetables. Everything was done in Moroccan tradition. Flavors and aromas were amazing. You could participate as little or as much as you liked. Everybody pretty much jumped in. Abdel explained why Al the different spices worked together. At end we all sat down together and shared the large variety of dishes. There was enough to take back with us to hotels. Would recommend for everybody.

    Best part of our trip!

Tantalising Tagine of Moroccan cuisine dreams!

This will be the best food you eat in Marrakech so bring your appetite and you will still be taking food back with you. The setting was stunning and you will learn so much. Our chef Abdil was very knowledgeable and a charming host. We were fortunate to have a great group so great conversation as well as sensational food. Much of the fruit and veg we used was home grown and we sat in the orchard to feast on what we had produced. Magical end to our week in Marrakech. Cannot recommend more highly! Thank you Abdil and team!

    The best cooking class

We try to do a cooking class at each country we visit. This one by far is the best. Prompt communication with the tour operator, door to door service a plus. We learned to make a traditional Moroccan meal. This was very hands on. Instructions were explained and demonstrated. We followed suit. We made beef, chicken, and lamb tangines with accompaniments including zalook and tektouta. Plenty of food and it was all delicious. Enough to take with you if you wanted to. Truly a farm to table experience. Highly, highly recommend.

    Exceptional gem in Marrakesh Crown

Incredible- our host was exceptional, food beyond delightful with a huge variety from tapes to elaborate couscous and tagines. The location 30 mins outside Marrakesh was so pretty.

Amazing cooking experience in a stunning setting

It was an amazing experience in a amazing setting and great atmosphere. We got to cook a lot of dishes in a very authentic way and learned many tips and tricks on cooking in general from a real chef as well as insights on cooking and food culture in Morocco. Chef was amazing! We felt spoiled! We left soooo full and cheeks aching from smiling and chewing. Best cooking experience we have had! Just be aware of a 40-minute transfer from Medina.

I would recommend this cooking class, I learnt so much about Moroccan cuisine and it’s so much fun. I went with my daughter who is not a keen cook but she thoroughly enjoyed the experience

Interesting cooking class - but with opportunities to improve!

Overall it was a nice experience. In the morning, we were picked up by a taxi next to Jemaa el Fna and drove to the farm. The farm is a peaceful place outside of Marrakech. We cooked plenty of tasty dishes with fresh ingredients and learnt a lot about Moroccan spices and cuisine. Everything was clean. Now to the reasons, why we only rated the activity with 3 stars: Unfortunately, we didn’t start with a visit of a the local market as it was explained in the activity description. I was expecting to go shopping for some of the ingredients together and to learn about the different ingredients offered on the markets. Secondly, I was a bit disappointed that we didn’t discover the farm together. After arriving, we were just told that we can have a look by ourselves. It would have been great to discover the farm together with some guided explanation on what products they grow and how they do it. Lastly, I would have loved to get some printed recipes to take home so that you can re-cook the dishes. Considering that this cooking class ist definitely on the high-end side in terms of pricing, I would have expected this kind of standard.

Great experience with Hicham & Abdel!

    Aaliyah_L, Jun 2025
Hicham & Abdel provided an absolutely wonderful experience. The transportation was well arranged, the the grounds were gorgeous, the steps to prepare the dishes were easy to follow and very interactive. I definitely recommend this class if you’re interested in trying something new in Marrakech.

    A memorable experience

    Andrew_W, Apr 2025
This was a great day out learning how to make an authentic morrocan tanguine. We stopped at the market to buy vegetables, herbs and fresh meat and then drove to the most idyllic country garden to start prepping for our meal. The chef took us through each stage and explained the techniques and the spices that are used fir either beef, lamb or chicken. We could choose between a sweet or savory option. Both were so tasty. We each had our own station to prepare our tangine before we set them on top of the charcoal cookers. We also helped prepare a range of side dishes before a break in the gardens for mint tea and fabulous pastries. When the tangines were cooked we sat together....about 12 of us to devour our meals. We were so full and it was the best tangine during my time in Marrakech. It was a great experience and I would strongly recommend it for something different, fun, educational and memorable. Great chef and lots of nice people helping us get it just right and yummy.

Very welcoming and informative about Moroccan cuisine and culture, right from the market place picking up the groceries to the actual cooking portion. After having been in Morroco for 2 weeks and eaten a few tajins, this was by far the best. Thank you for the experience.

A MUST on your travel itinerary!!

    Mary_G, Mar 2025
If you want a unique experience away from the hustle and bustle of Marrakesh, you MUST do this cooking class!! Best activity we did the whole week. The farm and family that lives there are wonderful and our Chef was AMAZING! Shopping for the ingredients in the market was really fun and informative and our food turned out delicious!! Even if you don’t cook, do this tour!! You won’t be disappointed.

    Fabulous

    Lori_P, Mar 2025
I was really looking forward to this cooking class and it didn’t disappoint! We started the day at a food souk and picked out all the vegtables, meat and spices we would need to create our fabulous meal. From the minute I walked onto the family farm where the class was held it was fabulous. The extremely well designed kithen was outside in a beautiful setting. Each of us had our own prep area which included utensils, spices, sinks , clay tanjine cookware and of course an apron! The Chef skillfully walked us through all the spices used in Morroccan cooking and introduced us to new ingredients that make Morrocan food so special. We worked for over 7 hours under he and his staffs fabulous guidence until we were finally able to sit down and enjoy the fruits of our labor. I have only one complant...that is, that, there wasn't a fabulous cookbook available to purchase written by our fabulous host! I recommend this to everyone who loves to cook! Thank you for a wonderful experience, it was truly a highlight of my trip.

    Amazing experience.

    Leslie_S, Mar 2025
This is an excellent experience. The host/chef and sous-chef were kind, hospitable and wonderful teachers. You learn a lot about the staple spices of Morrocan cuisine, preparation and history, not to mention the opportunity to shop produce, poultry and meat like a local.

    Excellent

From beginning to end this was a great experience during our stay in Marrakesh! We began with picking up items at a market before heading to the farm/cooking site. Six others joined us as we prepared the food for our lunch. We were also served tea and cookies. Our chefs were super organized! And we wish them well with their business.

    A Must Do

    Moroccan cooking at it's best

    TeresaJoy_B, Dec 2024
We met at an arranged meeting point by Abdel who took us off to meet another couple and then to go shopping. We went off to a meat and vegetable market to buy ingredients for meals that we were to make later. After a veritable collection of produce, we went off to Abdels farm and kitchen to learn about Moroccan cooking. Abdel was very patient with us as he taught us about the specific herbs and spices commonly used. He taught us about cooking Tagine which all in all was really interesting. We each cooked our own type of meal, either lamb, chicken or vegetarian Tagine and many side dishes to accompany the Tagine which we eventually we sat down to eat.

One the best activities of our whole trip

    Michelle_G, Dec 2024
We really enjoyed this cooking class. We started the day off going through the local markets to get the ingredients before travelling to the farm cooking class venue. We each picked our own dish from sweet or savoury beef/chicken/lamb/veggie tagine and cous cous options. It was good we each had the option to prepare what we wanted rather than a set menu. We also made 6 Moroccan salads which was so delicious. It was a great experience and we throughly enjoyed it. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to do a class.

An amazing fully hands on experience. Chef Abdel was organised and inspired us with tips and methods to cooking the perfect Moroccan Tagine and salads. The ambience of the place added to the experience. His assistant cannot go unnoticed, Fathima was amazing behind the scenes.
