Little disappointing because we unwittingly booked this tour the day of the national election and so the Palácio Rio Negro was closed. Even the guide seemed surprised. The guide was also unsure when the opera house opened, but luckily everything was pretty close and so we just went to the public market and saw that instead. The opera house was impressive and our guide there spoke good English. The river was very low, so our time at the beach and viewpoints was underwhelming. Even though the city is in pretty rough shape, it was still a good experience seeing this historic city.
