In case you are in a hotel in Manaus, please provide location, we will meet you there. If you are arriving by cruise ship, please provide the arrival time and names, we normally meet the passengers at the green mirror terminal in Manaus. Airport, please provide flight details and names.
Itinerary
Select a morning or afternoon departure when booking and enjoy pickup from your Manaus hotel at the scheduled time. Begin your tour in the city’s historic quarter, where your guide introduces you to Manaus’ past and its role in the Amazon region.
Continue to the bustling city market, where stalls overflow with Amazonian fruits, vegetables, fish, and local crafts. From here, visit the Rio Negro Palace, now a cultural center and once the residence of a wealthy rubber baron in the early 1900s.
Next, stop at the iconic Amazonas Opera House, a symbol of Manaus’ rubber boom era and one of the city’s most recognizable landmarks, located in a revitalized downtown district. Then, travel by vehicle through the industrial port area on your way to the riverfront.
The tour concludes with a covered speedboat ride to the "Meeting of the Waters", where the dark Rio Negro and sandy-colored Solimoes River flow side by side without mixing. Continue to a floating village for a glimpse of daily life on the water before returning to land and transferring back to your hotel.

Our tour guide Rudolfo was really excellent - highly recommend!! (and thank you Rudolfo!) Very knowledgable about Manaus and its history, and a very amiable guide - we had a very pleasant several hours (a half day tour) learning about the city, its history and its landmarks. We were looking for a ½ day tour that included more than just the usual city tour, so we booked this one that included a boat tour of the merged waters on the Amazon. So we saw the city highlights including the Opera house and then headed to the river for a boat tour. Nice.
We enjoyed our guide, Daniel who was flexible, knowledgeable and friendly. All around good tour.

Our tour guide was fantastic. However, we paid $200 per person ($400) which included entrance fees to the opera house and the governor’s palace. Both were closed and we weren’t informed of this until our tour started. Very disappointing. We could have found this same trip for a lot less money. The meeting of the waters is something you should definitely see.

As you were informed at the beginning of the tour, the theater closure was something we were not expecting and also took us by surprise, the theater is one of the most visited spots in Manaus and from time to time it needs to close to do some renovations due to the rainy season.

This is an excellent tour of Manaus and the meeting of the waters. Rodolpho was a great tour guide. He was extremely knowledgable and he taught us a lot about Manaus. See the spectacular Opera House, the Rio Negro Palace and the market. Do not miss the boat tour to see the meeting of the waters. It is amazing to see the brown Amazon meet the black Rio Negro. What a wonderful tour of Manaus,guided by Rodolpho, who shows the love of his nation with a through and informative tour of the city and the two rivers that come together to form the Amazon. Our tour started with a walk through the markets with the abundance of fruits and vegetables and fish and meats and a chance to view handicrafts in the rebuild market in the center town. Then a trip to the Opera House with a chance rehearsal performance of a Christmas concert and then to Rio Negro and Provincial Palace with explanation in Rodolpho's perfect English. But the highlight of the tour was the speedboat ride to the Meeting of the Rio Negro and Amazon waters. This was amazing! A wonderful tour with an excellent guide. Well worth whatever you spend on this trip!

A really superb tour. A drive through the city with great explanations, followed by brilliant fast boat ride to meeting of waters, floating village and submerged forest. Then a detailed visit to the Opera House and markets. Rodolpho was hugely knowledgeable and the trip exciting and fun. Unexpected bonus was collection and return right to the ship's gangway.
