I had an amazing experience at Caminito del Rey with our guide Diana. The hike was absolutely breathtaking, with stunning views of the cliffs and the river below. Diana was incredibly knowledgeable, sharing interesting facts about the area and making sure we were safe throughout the entire journey. Her enthusiasm and passion for the place really enhanced the experience. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to explore one of Spain's most famous and scenic trails!

Beautful place, but rip off operator.

Darryl_G, Jan 2024
The experience itself was wonderful, and the guide (cannot remember his name but he was Argentinian) was very good. I would recommend a visit to the gorge, but don't do it with Viator. Only now that I am home and adding everything up have I discovered that Viator used an extortionate exchange rate to bill me in my home currency. I am awake to that ripoff normally, but Viator either didn't disclose it or did it in an underhand way - either way, through applying an extortionate exchange rate, I was charged about 30% extra on top of what was already an expensive Euro price. Organize yourself and visit this area independently - don't pay the outrageous markups that Viator charges. The company makes those Nigerian scam artists look like a charity.

Recommend!

The bridge, seeing some rock climbers and the sounds and views of nature. It was an unforgettable experience!

Too Long

SarahAntonia_C, Oct 2023
Hi this tour is truly beautiful , but what should have been enjoyable was made too long a trip. You could actually walk the Caminito de Rey in 1 hour 45 minutes but it took us three hours as we had to keep stopping to listen to the guide. I felt that most of the stopping was not to give you really needed information but was to let the other groups ahead keep moving. We started at 2.45 and did not get back to the bus until 6.30 which was not the walking but the keep stopping every 15 minutes. When you finally finish the tour you are left to walk another 1000 metres to the bus stop to take you to the starting point. Minibuses should be provided at the end of the tour. Beautiful scenery but lagged out too long

Response from Host, Dec 2023

Good morning Sarah, We're sorry to hear that 3 hours were too long for you. However, the approximate duration is shown on the product and in your booking and you accepted it. In any case, let me tell you that although the Caminito del Rey walkway can be done in 1.45 hours, to that time 30 minutes must be added walking from the Kiosko restaurant until reaching the walkway and 30 minutes at the end until you reach the parking lot or bus stop. Additionally, more time must be considered if the shuttle bus is taken to return to the starting point. I think that reading your comment, a private tour would have been better for you. That way you could have sped up the tour if you wished, and no needed to wait for other people.

Amazing must do activity

claire_T, Oct 2023
Fantastic from start to finish. Guide was really knowledgeable. Scenery stunning. The activity did last longer than 2.5 hours was more like 3hrs then it takes time to get back to the start point so bear this in mind when planning your day.

Andalusia Adventure!

Fantastic walk through a gorgeous canyon! Not for the faint of heart and for those who don’t like heights!

Our guide Luis provided...

Ian_L, Jul 2023
Our guide Luis provided useful information on the history of the walkway and the general area. Unfortunately due to high winds the final, and most memorable part of the walkway was closed the day we visited.

Cruisers beware

Joseph_D, Jun 2023
Low rating because this was the first time we missed the tour. We have used VIATOR often with no problems. It seems that most VIATOR tours cater to Cruise ports. The tours usually start from the ship or very nearby. We felt misled in that although this tour address was Malaga, in fact the tour started from a suburb of Malaga that was a CONSIDERABLE distance from the port. Approximately 15+ miles. We were unable to adjust to the situation. Beware cruisers. In the future we will only consider tours with pick up at the port. PERIOD.

Walking tour

It was a great day out all the family enjoyed it. Pablo our guide was excellent, very knowledgeable and great fun.

Loved it

Christopher_G, May 2023
Fran did an excellent job making the tour enjoyable and personal. The vistas are amazing and descriptive history of the experience as well as the nature aspects were informative

Great experience, but…..

Henry_E, May 2023
Our guide Pablo was a 5 star as well as the experience. Why a 3… the tour company used be trip advisor/viator. Three days before the event, I received an email to change the meeting place and i responded “ok, no problem “. The day before the event, I get a phone call that they cancelled my paid for tickets because they “missed my email. Huh?? Why did they not call me beforehand rather than after the fact? They had tickets for the afternoon rather than the morning . Had to cxl my afternoon appointments so I could do this one. Not happy with the ineptness. This was a once in a lifetime family trip….

Great walk. Not overly demanding

Julio_L, May 2023
We loved the tour. Our guide was very good and spoke the perfect amount in each stop. The hike is a 5km walk with about 3 stops. He explained each portion of the hike. Very well recommended. Bring some sum screen and water !

Well organized

Viji_N, Apr 2023
The tour was very well organized with clear instructions. The tour operator got in touch via WhatsApp and answered all questions promptly. The tour guide was very well informed and helpful

Spectacular scenery and great guide

Elisa_W, Apr 2023
We loved the tour. The guide knew a lot about the area and history and shared information also about the plant and animal life. The scenery was spectacular.

Beautiful hike

LittenMarie_J, Mar 2023
Very beautiful hike with super talented guide! Can recommend! But - hike is only around 2 hours all in all, but to get from the meeting point at Garganta hotel and to the start point at Camanito takes easily 2 hours - so count on using your entire day. Also it’s not easy to find parking space at Garganta (we’ve got a fine 🙄)

Vialtor are impossible to contact

Drusilla_H, Nov 2022
The pick up point was in El Chorro which is impossible to get to. The address said Malaga, so assumed it was in Malaga, but the pick up point is an hour north, 8 mins from Caminita del Rey. I tried to contact Vialtor but it’s impossible. Why charge 54 Euros for a visit 8 mins away? This is the same price as if the pick up was actually in Malaga itself.

Fantastic guided tour experience at Caminito del Rey on 2 October 2022

Cornelia_M, Oct 2022
The walk is spectacular. We were lucky to have very good weather, a little overcast and not too hot. At times it was very windy, but always pleasant. Our guide was superbe - Francisco - extremely engaging, very knowledgeable and passionate about his work and the beautiful countryside in which he grew up. He made our experience special.

Amazing experience with a great tour guide

Oana_D, Aug 2022
The entire tour was amazing and our guide, Juanma, made the entire experience wonderful. Juanma shared a lot of interesting stories and also made us feel safe and comfortable during the tour, while enjoying it to the fullest.

An inspiring morning!

Jerry_H, Aug 2022
The views were spectacular! Pace of walk just right. Our guide Alex, was informative and also kept us entertained.

Must do adventure

Kmetzn_V, May 2022
Janet was a lovely tour guide, shared reall interesting info with us on the way. We all felt safe and cared for. The tour itself is beautiful and thrilling :-)

Our guide Ian was very...

Renee_v, May 2022
Our guide Ian was very knowledgeable and told us about the history, the f lora and the fauna along the Camino. It was warm for May but with 2 bottles of water and some nuts we survived perfectly. It was well worth the money having a guide to make the walk complete.

Worth every second and effort

Olga_G, Dec 2021
Fantastic walk and a very knowledgeable guide with excellent English. I felt lucky because I went on the tour on Dec 17 - the first day the route opened after 3 weeks of closure and they closed again because of the weather the next day! Very scenic route, interesting history and chilling heights! Would recommend it without a doubt.

Wonderfully spectacular

Peter_T, Mar 2026
We made the Caminito del Rey today and were absolutely thrilled. Our guide Mercedes was just great – very friendly, competent and with a lot of passion. She explained everything in an understandable way, paid attention to the group and told many interesting stories. Thanks to her, the tour was an unforgettable experience. Clear recommendation!

À ne pas manquer !

Sylvain_L, Jul 2024

michel_T, May 2023
Le site est très beau mais je n’ai pas eu de guide français au dernier moment C’est inacceptable vu que j’ai payé un guide que je n’ai pas eu

Response from Host, May 2023

Magnifique

Christian_V, Oct 2022
