There is a fair amount of walking on sometimes steep and uneven ground. Take a water bottle, hat, sunglasses, and for sure camera. .

Memorable Experience

Our guide, Gabby, was fantastic. We met her at the specified location and proceeded to have a memorable day despite the weather not being ideal. The top of the mountain was in clouds so we were unable to see the views. We did have clear weather from Weggis part way down the mountain that were spectacular. Gabby was very knowledgeable and full of information. She really made the day fun. Maybe you could organize the trip directly with the different transportation systems but if you're not familiar with the area this is the way to go. Having someone that could share historical and cultural information on generally everything made for a wonderful experience. Thanks Gabby

Our guide Carola was brilliant and had our group enthralled from start to finish. Her communication was excellent and our group was small so our day was a pleasure. Our itinerary was exactly as advertised and Carola took us for a lovely scenic hike as well. An excellent choice.

Great tour, beautiful scenery

The tour was very good, however the tour experienced problems with the train reservations and had to stand for the trip versus having reserved seating. Tour guide didn't provided much addition information other than getting us from point to point. Trip on the cable car going down was very crowded so didn't get to see much. Overall, I would recommend doing the tour but was expecting more customer service by booking with a guide.

The scenery was amazing but the tour guide didn't do very much. We could have easily planned this trip on our own. There were no assigned seats and standing room only on several legs of the trip. We have been on many Viator tours but was very disappointed in this one and feel we should be refunded.

As with any other destination in Switzerland, Mount Rigi can certainly be visited independently. However, considering that traveling alone would cost around CHF 152 without the Swiss Travel Pass, we believe our rate of CHF 132 provides excellent value and convenience. Not only do our guests enjoy hassle-free transportation to the destination, but also learn interesting facts about our history and culture along the way. Our tour guide (I think his name was Lars) was outstanding. I am a very slow walker and he was able to make sure that I was okay and could make all the stops successfully! Mt. Rigi has some really fabulous views and it was rather fun that this tour used different transportation methods (cruise, cog train, cable car). I really had a great time! I highly recommend this tour!

Was a lovely last experience in Lucerne. Rolf was wonderful! Super organized, thoughtful, thorough, and kind. Enjoyed the many modes of transportation including walking to mix things-up. Was with a great group! Would've liked more time to enjoy my snack at the cheese factory and explore Weggis. Perhaps taking the boat back one hour later back to Lucerne could be an optional choice. (also note the cheese factory only takes cash.)

And there was enough time to fully enjoy each stop, and I can’t even pick a favorite spot because the scenery was simply stunning throughout the entire day! Great way to experience the mountains from lucerne. The boat ride to and from lucerne , as well as the cogwill up the mountain and cable car back down made it an overall enjoyable day Monica was very friendly and fyll of knowledge. You have a total of about 2hrs at the top of the mountain. Which is enough time to take it in

We chose this tour because we wanted to be at the top of a mountain in Switzerland and look out at the Alps. We also liked that it included 3 modes of transport. It was an amazing day. Monica was so knowledgeable about the area and was great at moving us through every step of the day, while also giving us free time to wander. The scenery from the boat, the train and the cable car was unbelievably beautiful.

We were a small group of 7. Our guide Ralph was wonderful and made sure that we were where we needed to be and he provided interesting facts about the area. It was a beautiful and sunny day and the views were fantastic. I like walking and decided to walk from the top of Mt. Rigi to the Lucerne return boat in Weggis. It was a beautiful hike but I don't recommend it since it was difficult going downhill and I only had 10 minutes to spare for the last boat at 6:05pm. I highly recommend going to Mt. Rigi on this partially guided excursion.
