Did the private tour of Lucerne with Sarafina. She was an excellent guide and shared a lot of history about Switzerland and Lucerne. She took us to the places that most tourists go to, but added context you don’t get on your own—and she took us to places that most tourists don’t see which was an added bonus. Great way to get familiar with Lucerne when you first arrive.
The tour guide was excellent sharing all the history of Luzern and answering any questions and an outstanding personality
I want to give our guide, Seraphina, 5 stars. She is very knowledgeable about the history, culture & people of Lucern. She did an excellent job. The company, Local Tours Expert, however, gets 1 star. We booked a private tour. We arrived at the designated meeting place on time. While waiting, we got a message that the meeting place was changed. We crossed over the river & waited at the second meeting place. While waiting, we received another message about a 3rd meeting place which was located near the original meeting place on the other side of the river. Totally unacceptable. Local Tours Experts needs to do better
Great guide! Fun tour. Walked the entire historic city center. Guide happily took photos (for all who wanted) as we passed pretty sites.

Our guide, Luna, was very knowledgeable and kept us engaged regarding all things Lucerne! It was a well paced and pleasant walk to each of the highlights! And Plenty of time to explore and take photos!
Our walking tour with guide Anna was great. She was very knowledgeable of the area and pointed out a lot of things we would have missed on our own.
Stephansia was extremely well informed of the local history and buildings. She was very outgoing and personable. A wonderful guide!

The tour guide was so very poor, the group was glad to have it end. The tour was listed as 2 hours and she had us 1 hour and 15 minutes. She did not speak so we could hear, she was uninterested and couldn't care less about imparting information, very unprofessional. It was a delight to part from her!!! Such an opposite from reviews I'd read online convincing me to sign up for the tour.

The tour guide was not very professional. She spoke very quiet so the group had trouble hearing and did not make sure everyone was caught up before talking. She was very unfamiliar with the sites she was showing. People were asking questions about the sites and she did not know about them. For example when asked about site she said it was built by men a very long time ago instead of saying she did not know. Also she tried to shorten the tour from 2 hours to 1.5 hours skipping musegg wall that was supposed to be included. When we showed her what was supposed to be included she did wind up showing us this site. In the past we have enjoyed the high quality tours from Viator but this was a real disappointment.

We loved our guide. She was very knowledgeable and charming. We had a great time. Even with the rain downpour at the end of the tour!
This tour was horrendous.
The tour guide didn’t know much about anything. She was walking in front of us without interaction unless we were asking questions. She didn’t know about anything.
No name of churches, no historical info.
She was just advertising shopping places.
The tour was supposed to last 2 hrs and finish at the starting point, but after 1 hr and 20 minutes right outside a church she told us the tour was over.
I want a refund!!!!

It was okay- we toured city highlights, but no “hidden gems.” Could have done this on are own pretty easily.

Serafina was an excellent tour guide. Friendly, knowledgeable , and engaging. Highly recommend this tour
We traveled with our friends and each bought the tour from our own phones. As a result, they sent two guides for the 4 of us and we had to split from our friends. While it was personal and our guide was great, we wanted to be with our friends and experience Lucerne together. As a result, we both had different experiences. Their guide was not good, barely spoke English and they finished before us. It was awkward.

This was the shorter tour but it covered all the spots within easy walking distance. We learned many things from the long history and fun facts as well. The early morning start was great as the temperatures were comfortable and there were few other people/groups in the streets. Ana our guide was great with a great mix of historical and current info and personal anecdotes.
The guide spoke good English so could be understood.. Tour took in some of the major sites but we discovered a lot more when exploring on our own- perhaps it requires more than 2 hours

We were disappointed that we were notified of our private tour cancellation 30 minutes prior to its scheduled start time. However, we were able to join the small group tour 15 minutes later. Lucerne is stunning! We visited many sites including 2 churches that were incredible. Our tour guide recommended other activities too. I highly recommend this tour.

Relaxed walk around the highlights of Old Town Lucerne. Serafina, our guide was very knowledgeable and had lots of dates and history to share.
Interesting historical sights. Anna did a wonderful job with the history and answering questions. I would recommend this tour as a good way to see old town.

Lucerne was our first stop in Switzerland so we decided to take a walking tour and get out bearings and a little bit of the history. Our guide Anna was very informative and we hit some of the top spots to see in the city during our walking tour.
Sarafina was a great guide! Very knowledgeable and took us around to all of the must see sites in Luzern. Including some sights we would have not found on our own. Afternoon well spent!
There must have been some cancellations for this tour, because we were asked if we could reschedule. We couldn’t and our guide, Anna, graciously took just the two of us on an interesting and informative walk through Lucerne, even recommending a great, authentic Swiss restaurant where we could celebrate a birthday. The city’s history came alive through her narration. Thank you, Anna.
Tour was around 2 hours. Our tour guide Anna was great and also pointed out some local spots to eat. Overall the tour was amazing!
