We were disappointed that we were notified of our private tour cancellation 30 minutes prior to its scheduled start time. However, we were able to join the small group tour 15 minutes later. Lucerne is stunning! We visited many sites including 2 churches that were incredible. Our tour guide recommended other activities too. I highly recommend this tour.

Lucerne was our first stop in Switzerland so we decided to take a walking tour and get out bearings and a little bit of the history. Our guide Anna was very informative and we hit some of the top spots to see in the city during our walking tour.

There must have been some cancellations for this tour, because we were asked if we could reschedule. We couldn’t and our guide, Anna, graciously took just the two of us on an interesting and informative walk through Lucerne, even recommending a great, authentic Swiss restaurant where we could celebrate a birthday. The city’s history came alive through her narration. Thank you, Anna.

We loved our tour of Lucerne. Ana was an amazing tour guide. She was very knowledgeable and made the tour so much fun. She also took great looking pictures of us at multiple locations. I wish more tour guides were just like Ana.

Our guide seemed inexperienced. We arrived 5 minutes early at the meeting spot and she showed up up 5 minutes after the start time. She was not holding a flag or pamphlet up to indicate that she was a guide. She approached us. Then she made us wait 10 more minutes for another couple who were supposed to be coming but they never showed up. She was not in contact with Viator because I showed her the message that I had sent when there was no guide at the start time. She was very knowledgeable about the sites we visited but she was not from the local area. I had wished she could have answered more of my questions. She was off on her pacing of the tour. We were supposed to end at the starting place but she left us on the other side of town with directions on how to return. In all fairness we had just had wonderful guides on a river cruise that were a hard act to follow.

Almost impossible to find this meeting place ,with the information given. The name was not familiar to anyone we asked. We only had paper tickets. When we tried to find the info on the phone it keep asking where in Bueno Vista we wanted to go- WE WERE IN LUZERN!
We did finally find the place - we were only 4 minutes late. The Guide was no where to be found. No red vest or flag to be seen. Waste of money. I will try to get refund.

A couple of hour before our $150 fully private tour, our tour operator contacted us to ask if we would do one as a group with 4 other people. They said they would give us a $15 refund even though the group tour costs $42/person. They would not take no(we had just had a bad experience with an obnoxious person on a previous group tour) They spent the next hour trying to force us to do the group tour. We finally said if they wont take no for an answer, we would just cancel. I am taking it up with Viator because they are only giving us a $66 refund. We did the Lucerne tourist audio tour and it was great!

Unfortunately the tour guide seemed very new and it seemed like he didn’t know too much. He didn’t explain how the day would go and it was very random. When people would ask him questions it seemed to throw him off. Unfortunately it was a choppy tour. Needs improvement.

This was an entertaining and very informative tour. Our guide, Anna, presented the sites in an orderly manner with clear explanations of each along with lots of historical background for each. We came away from the tour knowing much, much more about Lucerne than we could have learned through reading guidebooks or internet articles.

The cog wheel train doesn’t begin for another 2 days. I’m disappointed that we missed it.

Disappointing. We are seasoned travelers and have done many tours. The guide Arnie met us at the exact point on time but finished 30 minutes earlier than planned time. There were eight in the group and he did not give detailed explanation on the sites. Poor value for the money.

Anna was great! She had a lot of knowledge & history of the different sites. It was cool to see the Lion Monument & the Chapel Bridge. Pictures don’t do them justice.

Spoke very softly, with remarkably insufficient English—didn’t know the word “democracy” for example. Didn’t give an overview or much information. The tour was booked to be 2 hours, but ended after 1 hour 20 minutes. An hour after the tour ended. I received a message from the guide offering to sell me a Swiss watch at a discount. See “ Hi again. If you are looking yo buy for a watch. I have a brand new on hand Burberry Chrono Watch for men. Good for gift. Original Price is 550CHF.
I can give it for 350.
