I would say, that this is the most underrated tour. The lake boat cruise is stunning, the cogwheel train to Rigi is great, the views are speachless and the return travel by cable car just fantastic. Had a great lunch and a smooth short panoramic walk. I really recommend this tour, as it is less crowded than Mt.Pilatus where we have been the day before. Compared to Pilatus, this tour ist much better!

Domenico was an amazing tour guide. He was punctual, explained exactly what we would be seeing throughout the tour, stopped for any pictures we wanted to take, gave us lots of information about the Rigi and Lucerne areas of Switzerland, the list goes on and on. Definitely would recommend him to anyone visiting the Lucerne area!

Definitely not worth the money! If you’re visiting Lucerne, just take the boat and train on your own — you’ll save at least $900, which you can spend elsewhere. The guide was a nice guy, and I don’t think he was the problem, nor is the attraction itself bad — but you’re clearly paying about twice as much for something you could easily do on your own..

From the boat ride along Lake Lucerne to the cogwheel train up to Mt. Rigi to the beautiful mountain experience, to a great cable ride and beautiful walk through a village, this trip was marvelous!

We took this tour on our second day in Luzern after we did Mt. Pilatus the day before. It was way better than expected! The tour to Rigi was an absolute highlight! Our guide was fantastic – friendly, knowledgeable, and full of interesting insights. The views from Rigi were breathtaking, even better than at other popular spots. What made it even more special was how few people were around. Highly recommended!!!

this was a fantastic day we spent with our guide Rolf. boat trip is stunning, train to Rigi has incredible views. spent our lunch break at a nice terrasse to sit outside and our guide took us to a easy 20minutes panoramic walk.

An absolutely great tour! The journey up to Mount Rigi was full of stunning scenery – from peaceful boat rides to the cogwheel train. At the top, we enjoyed a delicious lunch with spectacular views, followed by a lovely short walk to take in the fresh mountain air. The panoramic views over the lakes and Alps were simply breathtaking. Our guide (forgot his name, sorry) was hilarious and shared so many interesting facts about Switzerland, making the experience both fun and informative. A perfect escape into nature outside Lucern.

The highlight of our time in Switzerland. Our guide, Dominique, was super fun and extremely knowledgable. She knew the answer to every question we asked and we really enjoyed our time with her. Although it's possible and pretty easy to do the trip without a guide, I would really recommend booking a guide. It removes all of the stress and allows you to learn a lot more about Switzerland than you would without one. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone that has a free day in Switzerland!

The day trip was amazing with spectacular views. Our tour guide, Anja, was really helpful all day. Arrived on time. Offered her local knowledge of the trip throughout the day. Made sure we got all the right connecting boats, trains and cablecars. We got much more out of the day because of her service. Highly recommended

The guide was informative and helpful. The train was stunning and the proposed lunch was good. The only disappointing thing was the lack of snow in mid-December, not something Viator could control. Even without snow, the scenery, including distant glaciers, was great.

easy to find meeting place, we have been in a really small group (6 people) which gave a personal touch on that day. it was variable (boat, train, small walk, cable car) during the day and I got ennough time for myself on this tour. no rush at all what I loved.

loved the lake cruise and the train to the top. As the weather was good, tourguide was leading us on a 30 minutes walk after lunch along a wide trail with stunning views onto the lake and the city of Lucern. It was a great day and we discussed a lot of things, that I never heard about Switzerland before.
