David the driver was very prompt, and drove the 6 of us from the TAJ in London to Blenham, then to Oxford. His driving was exemplary. Our one negative comment was that he was very quiet on the drive, and we felt we never got a good explanation of the sights we were passing nor the history. We had to ask questions to get explanations, rather than them being forthcoming from him.

We’re disappointed to read that you didn’t fully enjoy the tour and at the same time surprised by your feedback.
After having spoken to David he states that he provided all the usual commentary and even added an extra stop to St Mary’s church to show you where Churchill is buried which is not included in the tour’s itinerary.
This is the first non 5* review amongst many 5* that we have received for David.
At times when part of the group are resting/sleeping or when driving along busy motorways (with not that much to talk about except the scenery) driver-guides tend to focus their attention on the road to reach destinations safely and on time and keep comments to a minimum. Perhaps those are the quiet moments you refer to?
