We had a great time. Gia was a fantastic guide. She spoke English very well and gave us a wonderful tour. We had been to Barranco before, but her tour and explanations gave us a better understanding and appreciation of the area. Highly recommend Gia.

I took the tour with Gustavo, who was incredibly nice and knowledgeable about the history and culture of the city. I got to see so many beautiful murals and places of interest in Barranco. It was a perfect way to begin my stay in Lima! I highly recommend it!

The tour started at 10am; and I arrived at 10:08am sharp. I messaged the tour guide, Yelsin to say I would be running late and he responded to say “I have to start at 10am”. I completely understand. He shared his live location- and said - I should meet him.
I struggled a bit with the location so I ended up walking around on my own. Honestly, I am soooo glad I did- best decision. I walked at my pace: visiting museums and all the beautiful artwork were in reach. You are definitely 💯 are able to do the walk on your own without a guide. It’s super easyyyy. I think however having a tour guide, will give you a deeper historical perspective.
But if want to be able to walk around, take your own pics at your own pace, go to museums (all are free btw)- then just head to the Barranco district and tackle it. If you take a guide, I’m sure they will assist you perfectly.
Other Pros:
-promptly communicated the day before the tour (by giving information in advance re meeting point)
Cons:
-no grace period. Ensure you are on time. No follow up from guide. Once the tour starts ; that’s it.
While I’ve seen other tours be flexible - within a 5-10 min grace period (eg. they do introductory talks, outline the trip in the interim)- especially as a tourist not being from the area- this company is not flexible. But I completely understand from their perspective- because punctuality is on the part of the customer. So BE ON TIME if you are booking this tour.
Feedback to company:
-extend a bit of grace and patiently assist customers with directions.

Barranco Tour & Street Art was excellent, with great communication before the tour also. Lima Experience was happy to proceed with the tour even though I was the only person - other tour companies have cancelled tours on me within 24 hours!! Gustavo was very knowledgeable & more than happy to stop for all my photos & to take photos of me :) I would definitely recommend this tour!

I was the only tourist so had a private tour. Guide was very knowledge in explaining the street art and the meanings behind the symbols in the artworks. Unfortunately some of the artwork is quite old and needs a refresh. But a tour well worth doing!

It was a nice tour of a few streets in Barranco, our guide explained the story behind the murals. Bridge of sighs. Some steps up and down. The smell from pidgeon poop was really strong.
