Be Clear....this is definitely a Moderate Hike!....But its well worth the view when you get there...Guides were Excellent! Very Friendly...Very Knowledgeable and FUN....Seeing photos of Rio Celeste is what made us book a trip to Costa Rica...and we were Not Disappointed! I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this was a great tour beginning to end...Lunch was Great! I believe in reviews....and I also write honest reviews.....I don't have one single bad thing to say about this experience.

The Rio Celeste and waterfall (the reason we came) were beautiful and amazing, but we were surprised at how many animals we saw along the way - lots of vipers, a coral snake, green snakes, basilisks, various birds including a turkey, caymans, and a pair of toucans feeding each other that our guide Erick helped my wife get on close-up video!
Erick was a great guide, very courteous but also funny, and, in addition to being a great animal spotter, he shared a lot of great info about the forest and the river.
The hike was a bit challenging in places, but a good one. Lunch was great as was taking a swim after. Highly recommend.

Swimming in a private river was the high point.the hike was much more challenging than expected. The weather impacts what u see. It was raining on the hike in so parts of the water were cloudy. Sunny on the way out. Saw a snake and blue butterflies. Also was charged an additional $40 for pick up at our resort.

Our tour guide was exceptional and the hike was beautiful. Was a perfect day spent in the area. We were lucky enough to see monkeys and a few vipers on our trip

A lovely day! The hike did have some elevation, and the stairs to see the waterfall will have you feeling the burn. The best part was the swimming hole at the end of the day, so serene! Mario was a phenomenal guide :)

Great trip. Highly recommend, Brian was very knowledgeable. We spotted monkeys and other wildlife on the hike. The Costa Rican meal was delicious as well.

Brian was both our driver and guide , very knowledgeable and helpful with the semi-tough hike , but the reward at the end with the gorgeous waterfall, made us feel like we were hiking among friends ! Thank you for the unforgettable experience.

We had a wonderful day despite the raining situation in the morning. It was a steep trail, not very easy however feeling accomplished once finished the trail. Swimming in the river after a nice lunch, a total blast!

Mario took everyone’s phone for perfectly zoomed in photos of cool animals. We also went to a pool that we could swim in the cool blue water not available at the Rio Celeste waterfall itself. He was funny witty and accommodating. Only thing is Viator mentioned snacks and water both of which we did not get and needed 😅 no fault of Mario’s he was truly amazing and the food was even better

Fabrizio was a wonderful guide! Rio is not so blue because of weather conditions- but it was still a beautiful trek and he went above and beyond to accommodate us and highlight many things along the trail and drive. Swimming in the river in the farm was so refreshing and wonderful.

The waterfall is magical. Our guide gave us a lot of information about the native plants. He took us to a nice farm for Lunch and then to a river to swim.

Our guide Kenya was super informative and provided good context on history of places, plants and wildlife. She also takes amazing pictures. We saw a couple of toucans on the way. The hike to the beautiful Rio Celeste Waterfall was not so bad. Go at your own pace up and down the stairs. Unfortunately, it was crowded when we got there and had to lineup. Also, the trail to the blue lagoon can be very muddy so bring shoes you don’t mind getting dirty. The lunch at the farm was good. They have vegetarian options. For those who want fish, please note that it’s deep fried. We swam in the river after lunch. There was no one at the river but our tour group so that felt like an “off the beaten path” experience which I love. Overall, very good tour. I would highly recommend it.
