The staff in general and our guide were all really friendly and laid back. The river was absolutely beautiful and our guide kept the experience fun, safe, and engaging the whole time. The rapids were big enough to be fun while still feeling under control. We had a great time all around!

Was planning on a tranquil float but ended up with an adrenaline filled adventure!

We booked this through Viator, expecting a mostly relaxing float with a few small rapids based on the description and pictures. The concierge from Rio Celeste Tubing messaged in the morning letting us know the water level was high due to a lot of rain (it’s the rainy season) and gave us options of waiting to see what the weather did, switch to zip lining or rescheduling. They said we could come later to give the rain a chance to die down. We were staying 2 hours away so we decided to grab some lunch and make the trek and decide once we got there. I have 3 daughters under 13 and 2 didn’t want to zip line. The concierge assured us we would be safe with the tubing guides and even sent us with an extra guide so we were 2 people per guide instead of 3. The trip was awesome. Way more adrenaline than I planned but we never felt unsafe. Everyone had fun including the youngest that I was worried would be scared. I highly recommend!

Mano my water float guide (capi capi) and Jamie my driver were both amazing. I went the water was a level 1 but levels can go from 1 to 3 with 3 running smoother but more rapids. I highly recommend this activity with this company

Nice amenities in location, friendly staff (2 members dedicated to our 6 people group). Activity started on time. I didn't give 5 starts because website for booking does not mention that the starting location is approximately 30 min away from other tubing areas near Tenorio Volcano National Park where the Rio Celeste Waterfall is. During our visit (March 2024), the river water level was low (or at least it was at the areas where our adventure started), which made it difficult for myself and, another member of my group, to get thru the river rapid areas without getting stuck between the rocks. We hurt our bottoms quite a bit (nothing serious) and the staff struggled a lot trying to pull our heavy bodies downriver. Overall, we DID have fun and the river landscape was gorgeous. At the end of the activity the staff provided fresh fruit and water.

One of our favorite excursions in LaFortuna

We are elderly. David saw to it that we were taken care of from start to finish of our excursion. He took extra care in getting us into our safety gear and into our tubes. He also set up our "go pro" on my husbands safety helmet. All along he kept asking if we were having a good time because it was most important. We talked back and forth about each other cultures and learned more about Costa Rica. Our ride back to the reception area was fantastic. Had a little Kareoke going. Made us smile. After return, we were directed to the showers for a rinse off and then served fresh watermelon and pineapple. Last tour of the day. We were not rushed at all. Everyone was so nice.
