I visited Baldi Hot Springs the day after a flight, and it was the perfect way to relax and unwind. The setting is lovely, and I really liked how the pool temperatures change as you move further up – it gives you a nice variety to choose from depending on how hot you want it.
It’s a great place to spend a chilled afternoon, especially if you’re looking to relax after travelling.
Overall, a really enjoyable and relaxing experience.

Beautiful location, well- maintained, excellent thermals, courteous staff and very helpful. Especially at check- in. We had a glitch at check-in and both Baldi staff and Viator worked to promptly get it resolved. Viator had very responsive customer service representative who answered right away and followed through to get us on our way.

We loved visiting Baldi on a day pass. The different pools are beautifully landscaped. It is a unique experience. Everything is meticulously maintained. Staff is friendly and helpful. Definitely worthwhile.

Myself and both my kids 18 & 16. Great place, not too crowded which I feel is a major plus to a facility that could just overbook . Not the case here and the springs are super hot.

Baldi Hot Springs is absolutely amazing and well worth the visit. The pools are beautiful, and while there are many to choose from, we couldn’t really tell a huge difference in the temperatures—but that didn’t take away from the experience at all. My favorite pool was the one with the swim-up bar, which was such a fun and relaxing touch.
We had heard reports that there might be issues with their liquor license due to the passing of the owner, but when we visited on 12/24/25, alcohol was being served without any problems.
The grounds themselves are absolutely stunning—lush, well-maintained, and a pleasure to explore. If we had one disappointment, it’s that we simply didn’t have enough time there. You could easily spend an entire day enjoying everything Baldi has to offer.
We would definitely go back and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Arenal area.

It was a good experience overall. Pools were great and creatively set up. $65 admission was high and $7 for locker on top.
Guy at the reception behaved poorly, also he was charging $7 for locker using his phone which didn't work. There was no usual credit card machine, which was very odd, almost like he wanted to pocket some of the money.

Baldi is beautiful and staff are great. My disappointment was with the meal that was included in my package. I was anticipating a meal with menu and wait service at the main restaurant. Their main restaurant was buffet and didn’t offer enough fresh food. It was rice beans stews and fried chicken parts. What! Oh well, hot springs were beautiful.

Great day out, large site with lots of pool from cold to roasting hot, didn’t feel too busy and kept my boys (10 and 13) entertained for 7 hours!
practical info- open 9am-10pm, towel deposit $10 pp you get back at the end, lockers $7 you don’t get this back.
Tip- secure a subbed with towel. I didn’t do this (as don’t like reserving when not using) but most people do so when it got busier in the afternoon i couldn’t find anywhere to lie down.
Lunch - i booked as part of package. saw quite a few negative reviews but i though it was great value, you get an hour all you can eat at designated time, several mains/veg, soup, salad bar, desert options, fruit, hot/cold drinks all included. well worth it and 7-8/10 quality.
Slides - saw reviews labeling these as dangerous. I wouldn’t go that far but the 4 main slides (excluding toddlers splash zone) are FAST and do throw you about! I did them all twice and that was enough to give me (40) a head ache but my boys loved them and did each several times, albeit got a couple of bruises. Wouldn’t recommend for under 10’s tbh (3 have 1.1m height restrictions and one is 1.3m) but if you’re quite hardy with no injuries they are fine.
Bars- accept cash, card, apple pay. cocktails $12, beers/smoothies etc about $5-6, lovely to sit in hot water with a cold drink.
My biggest gripe was booking through Viator (part of Tripadvisor). arrived to be told lunch hadn’t been booked (which i had reserved) and my tickets hadn’t been paid for so spent the first 40 minutes trying to resolve on viator chat. They informed the local operator they use but fobbed me off saying i need to contact them and sort it myself as they have no contact with baldi hot springs which i wasn’t happy with as i booked it with and paid viator so my view is they should resolve it with the local operator not me. you can just turn up and pay on the day so would recommend doing this.

Resort style day. Facility is lovely, springs are very enjoyable. We like it very much. Lot of springs to swim in, some cold, some warm, some very hot! Waterslides were crazy and kids laughed so much! It is a resort type of day which is relaxing.

Overall excellent, only downside is parking( if you are going in own car) and can feel a bit crowded during the day. But a lot of side spots to get some relief from big crowds. Slides are amazing, the middle one is legit, not for little kids. At night lights up pretty nice. Didn’t try food drinks were decent

There are many different pools with also different temperatures. Partly, a pool bar is integrated. The dinner was a buffet in a big hall. Nothing special, no good atmosphere. For 20 USS I would recommend a restaurant outside.

Terrible experience with you. I would not recommend Jamaz to someone else. Upon arrival at the place of reservation you had not made payment to the premises. They tried to reach you. I made the reservation. With you 48 hours before arrival at the reservation. They explained to me that you are already this informal. He couldn't go into business after an investment of more than $1000 between plane, car rental and so on. I had to pay cash again, since you never informed me of my reservation.
