Itinerary
After hotel pickup in La Fortuna, your two-part adventure begins with the zipline tour.
Starting from a 43-foot-high (13-meter) tower, soar across the treetops for nearly 2 miles (3 km), reaching speeds up to 35 mph (60 kph) as you move across the circuit of eight cables, which range in length from 262 to 2,460 feet (80 to 750 meters) with an average height of 125 feet (38 meters). From the 12 platforms, five of which are built in the trees, take in different views of the rainforest and other natural scenery.
Next, move from the air back to ground level with a 1-hour horseback ride. After your guide matches you with a horse suitable for your abilities, listen to some instructions and then follow your guide along trails through farmlands and the rainforest. Admire the lush environment, spotting varying vegetation from ferns to sugarcane to giant trees known as higueron. When you reach Silencio Observation Point, enjoy a view of Arenal and its lava trails.
Horses are trained for riding, and the riding speed is kept at a pace that is suitable for the least-experienced member of your group. You also have the opportunity to join a group that better matches your riding level. (Make sure to inform your guide of your abilities.)
Your tour ends with return transport to your pickup location.

This was an amazing experience! I would give six stars if I could. The pickup from our hotel was dead simple and the driver was perfectly on time. Our two tour guides (Charlie and Dillon) were the nicest people. In fact, everyone involved was extremely friendly.
The horse riding tour itself was breath taking. The horses were easy to ride, though each has their own personality, so getting to know your horse was important. Some parts of the trail required the horses to be nimble and slow and other parts allowed them to run. It was both uphill and downhill on rock trails and grass.
The Zipline part was phenomenal! Oh my gosh the views!!! I have a fear of heights but had no issues doing this course. There's something about flying through trees securely in a harness that eliminated all fears. It was odd. I was nervous but after the first one had zero reservations.
Charlie went above and beyond. One of our party members dropped their phone on the trail at some point. They didn't know they did until the end. Charlie went back out and found it rather quickly saving the day.
The only thing to note is tips can only be made in cash. At least at the time of writing this. This was an A++++ experience all around. I'd highly recommend it.

Fun time with the horse ride and zip lining. My wife was put on a mule which proved to be true to its temperament. It was very stubborn and it was not easy for her to control. Other than that, it was a wonderful experience.

Didn't realize you didn't have to sign up for both the horseback riding and zip line but I did. We decided not to do the zip line; however, they didn't offer to refund us the amount. How our guide was great and provided us with the historical information about the volcano and area. I had fun and would do it again. I wish I could remember our guides name because I would like to say kudos for a job well done. 👍🏼

It was raining and we still head out to the horseback riding but almost halfway through we had to turn back we also did the zip line while it was raining and it’s still was fun even though we where all wet

We had a great time, the horse riding was lots of fun and you get some great views from the trail. The canopy was my favorite and has some amazing scenery as you make your way around. The guides were great and the fruit at the end is a nice touch.

The whole trip was awesome. The horse ride was through fields and roads as we climbed to great places for pictures of the Volcano and Green lake. The 8 zip lines were fast and the Tarzan swing was stomach dropping. Great staff and fresh fruit once you’re done.

This tour company knocked it out of the park, they were able to accommodate our schedule even when our previous activities were delayed. Their driver Jorge was very helpful, went above and beyond to drive us and even found three sloths on the way to show us!
The zip lines were super fun and there were more lines than I expected. Even a bonus swing!! The instructors were very helpful and encouraging and kept good humor all around!
The horse back riding took us to a great viewpoint and we mainly walked with some light trotting as well. Alberto was amazing with the horses and made sure we felt comfortable!

We had a great experience ziplining and horseback riding I only sent pictures of the horseback riding because I haven't figured out how to download the pictures from the zipline yet but it was amazing The guides were wonderful. The scenery on horseback was beautiful and we learned a lot about Costa Rica from the guide. He even spotted a sloth for us to see. The horses we're well taken care of and well-trained. I would recommend this excursion for anyone visiting Costa Rica 100% Pura Vida 😎❣️

The Arenal Canopy and Horseback riding adventure was excellent. Our guides were amazing and we started our adventure with a Horseback ride that had stunning views and a relaxing pace through the Forrest. Chuki was a great horse! The horseback ride was followed by the canopy tour where our guides to us through a sequence of zip lines with excellent views. On this stop there is a Tarzan swing which is certainly a must to try! Thank you to the excellent staff and guides! It was everything we wanted in such a magical place.

Me and my boyfriend had so much fun and the whole experience made our trip to Costa Rica so amazing! I highly recommend doing this. I have to say, my boyfriend was looking forward to zip lining the most but ended up loving horse back riding just as much! The zip line was beautiful and the last zip line part was breathtaking. They also explain everything often and make sure everyone feels comfortable before starting.

We had a fantastic time on this action packed tour! Pickup from our hotel was timely and we got right into the horseback riding. Eddy was very knowledgeable and an excellent guide. On the ziplining, we had an absolute blast and while it’s a bit nerve-racking, the guides are all reassuring and know what they’re doing.

The guides were all so friendly and funny. The tour was the perfect length for my 8 year old and myself. I felt very safe with my daughter going on the ziplines. She felt safe as well. The Views were great! All in all, it was a great activity! The best guides ever. The Horsebacking riding was longer than I expected too which was nice. Super attentive guides.

The horses were incredible. The zip lines were okay. The Tarzan swing was great and the last zip line was the longest and highest which had a beautiful view. The other zip lines were slow and short. Our guides didn’t speak much English although we also didn’t speak much Spanish either. It’s worth it but more so for the horses and the last zip line.

Everything was beautiful and well organized! The team worked efficiently and did a great job in making even inexperienced zip liners like me comfortable. Greatly enjoyed the whole experience. Marvin and Harvin were also great horse back riding guides.

It was a good all in one experience! The instructors for the zip lining were incredibly friendly, and the instructor for the horseback riding was very kind and helped us all get good pictures with the horses. The fruit was a welcome treat after zip lining. I would definitely recommend this to someone who wants to do both activities but has limited time/ money to do them independently.

I had never been zip lining before, and have a pretty strong fear of heights, so when I reached the top of the first tower, and peered out across the first cable, I was convinced that i would not be able to go through with this.
If you feel this way too, I strongly encourage you to tell the guides about your fear. They are very encouraging, and it helped me to take that first step. I promise you that once you take that first step, everything else is so much easier.
The guides are fun and informative, and the tour felt safe.
