We did an ATV ride near Arenal Volcano and had a great time overall! They offer both single and double rides, which made it easy to choose what worked best for us. The scenery was beautiful, but we didn’t get quite as close to the volcano as we had hoped. Be prepared—the dust is no joke. You’ll definitely get dirty, so wear clothes you don’t mind covering in dirt and consider bringing something to cover your face and bag cover. Our guides, David, Dylan, and Emanuel, were awesome—super friendly and made the experience fun and smooth from start to finish. Really only Emanuel communicated with us. About halfway through, we stopped at a secluded swimming spot, which ended up being a highlight. Definitely bring what you need to swim—it’s 100% worth it. It was the perfect way to cool off and rinse off all the dust. Plus, there was even a rope swing! Overall, a really fun experience with a great team—just come prepared for the dust and you’ll have a blast.
