Overview

Ramen is one of the world’s most popular meals, but few people have mastered the art of home-cooked noodles. During this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to prepare the perfect bowl of soupy ramen, from blending ingredients to cutting the noodles using hand-forged Japanese knives. I opted not for the Ramen Factory hoping that the Ramen Workshop in Gion would be better. The reviews were great and the reviews were spot on. Aya made our trip in Kyoto. The cooking class was interactive and informative. The meal was delicious!! Aya's positive energy and was able to share lots of her knowledge around the Japanese culture and spoke great English. Highly recommend!

One of favorites experiences while visiting Kyoto! It is located in a beautiful area. Iya was a great teacher, the class was easy to follow and the food was delicious. Highly recommended!!

What a great hands on experience. Aya was great fun and very knowledgeable. I'm a chef and she showed us methods that I'd never seen before. If you are doing the lunch, don't eat too much Brekky. Thanks again Aya for a great day.

I cannot say enough amazing things about this experience. Firstly, Aya, the chef who taught us the class was incredibly nice and a great teacher! I learned a lot of tips and tricks to cooking that I brought back home with me. The location is situated in a very very beautiful location in Kyoto, about 15 minute walk to the Gion train station. The Ramen we made was delicious and fun to learn how Japanese chefs create the meal from scratch. Aya gave us really great lessons on how to use a knife safely and cut our food prep professionally. We spent so much time laughing throughout the lessons, that it felt we were hanging out with a close friend and making a meal together. I can't wait to visit Kyoto again and take my friends for another lesson.

Die Kursleiterin Aya ist sehr freundlich und spricht sehr gut Englisch. Sie erklärt jeden Schritt der Zubereitung genau und alles ist perfekt vorbereitet und sehr sauber. Sie macht nebenher unauffällig zahlreiche Fotos in sehr guter Qualität und stellt sie später über Dropbox zur Verfügung. Wir lernten in diesem Kurs gut zuhause praktikable Zubereitungsformen von Karage, schlangenförmig beweglich geschnittener Gurke mit Dressing und Ramen mit kleinen Schweinefleischrouladen. Es hat sehr viel Spaß gemacht. Das Studio liegt super zentral in der Nähe des Hokanji-Tempels, der bei Sonnenuntergang ein malerisches Fotomotiv ergibt. Eat Kyoto ist in jeder Hinsicht sehr zu empfehlen!
