Doing this tour was so great! I came away knowing a lot more about ramen and how versatile a dish it is. I got to choose 2 ramen spots to try and both were incredibly yummy. Nick was awesome talking about ramen and Japan more broadly. If you think you may be even slightly interested, i definitely recommend you give it a shot!!

Great tour. Was greeted by Nick, he did a wonderful job explaining everything we need to know about ramen. Nick was extremely friendly and helpful. We got to choose two places to go to out of a long list and both were delicious! We saw a traditional, and then modern ramen. Was a really great experience. Highly recommend.

Entertaining, insightful and, of course, delicious

Excellent mixture of top quality ramen (two bowls!); insight into the world of ramen; and entertaining and engaging guide. The restaurants gave us the full ramen experince. The first was high end decor, open minimalist space combined with thick ramen soup (and my personal favourite, seasoned with Yuzu) then on more traditional soya-suce based ramen in a more traditional ramen restaurant that the locals would use. This was all wrapped up with the entertainment of a fun "ramen quiz" to start with and "ask any questions" approach to the trip!. Highly recommended

Great Variety in Ramen Styles

This was definitely one of the highlights of my Kyoto trip, which I didn't expect! Kyoto ramen is a lot more diverse than I would have guessed and I got to try bowls that were unique and different from each other. The guide was also very knowledgeable and was able to answer every question I had. Overall, very interesting deep-dive into Kyoto ramen which I 100% recommend!
