We had a great time in...

Oren_S, Oct 2025
We had a great time in Miho's kitchen. We learnt how to make miso soup, matcha, sushi, spinach salad, and tempura. She was super friendly and knowledgeable and also sent us the recipes. The visit to the supermarket was also a great bonus as understanding what is everything is not simple in Japan.

Fun, informative Cooking Class

Hands on. Lots of information. Knowledgeable and personable. Learn techniques for a variety of dishes. Plus ends with mochi (made by us) so how can you go wrong.

Excellent class with Miho

Miho was great. I highly recommend this class. She gave guided instruction on how to prepare a number of local dishes and provided interesting background on Japanese cuisine. Miho was friendly and graciously answered many questions that the group had. Her English is perfect and easily understandable.

Cooking class or Samouri work shop? These too are our best experience in Kyoto

Galit_B, Sep 2024
We wanted to see an authentic Japanese home. We got bigger experience. Cooking together with Miho, learning so much more than the cooking class, about Miho, about Japanese people and customs. We enjoyed the tour to the supermarket and the explanations all over the store. We took the lunch & tour, I highly recommend it

VERY NICE EXPERIENCE!

Karine_A, Aug 2024
Our host was really kind and professional. She explained very well all the tricks and we were able to understand how to make the dishes at home. Going after the class to the supermarket, she explained patiently EVERYTHING that was in the shop and was kind to help chose the best. We highly recommend this class and our teacher cook!

A lovely venue and cooking class

Leslie_W, Mar 2024
What a fun experience. The venue was in an older Japanese house with a traditional room with tatami mat floor ,tokonoma display area and a tranquil Japanese garden to view. We cooked our meal in the kitchen. I learned several new tips . Miho the instructor was a wonderful host. We went to the market and I bought several things to try recipies at home. Last night I made mochi ice cream with my six year old granddaughter.. she loved it. I recommend taking a taxi to this location rather than trying to take public transportation. It is much faster. Visiting a traditional home and having a homemade lunch is worth the trip.

Ein absolutes Highlight!

Christina_W, Oct 2024
