We loved our guide (Karolina?) and this tour! We stopped for a famous Krakow street food similar to a bagel, then headed to a highly rated restaurant (Morskie Oko) where we had Zurek soup, baked cheese, three kinds of pierogi, and enormous potato pancakes with a couple types of toppings. Then we walked to a cake store for a cream dessert ( Papal Cream Cake) that was out of this world. And we finished up at a bar with two kinds of vodka. There were only four in our group so we all had all of our questions answered and interesting background information presented. Our guide was friendly and personable and extremely knowledgeable about foods and traditions. Great experience- highly recommend!

I’ve been on several food tours and this was by far the best one. Tomasz was an outstanding guide, so knowledgeable, and the food he chose for us was delicious. I liked that it was a small group. I would do this tour again!

This food tour was fantastic. Tomasz was our guide- he said that he really loves Polish Cuisine, and you can tell. It came through with the love he expressed explaining all the dishes to us. He shared the ingredients, the history behind the dish, and what made that dish special. He got to sample some local food only available in Krakow, and to have a traditional Polish meal in a restaurant.
Remember to come hungry! I ate lunch this day, and I really should have skipped lunch! There is so much food on this tour, you will not go home hungry. I was expecting the individual stops to have only a portion of what we got, but, we got very generous servings at all our four stops.
I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to experience Polish cuisine, culture, and history.

Thanks to Aleksandra for an excellent tour (which also happened to be a private tour as we were the only ones in the group). The food was delicious and she shared so many great facts from the food to the history of Krakow.
They had so much food on offer and we were so sad not to be able to eat it all. I would recommend you go on an empty stomach because the amount of food on offer won't disappoint!

The food was great and our guide was very nice! We got to try the pretzels that you see blue stands for everywhere, then we had some breads and spreads with vodka .After that we had a traditional dinner with soup and perogies. We finished in a cute local bakery with a cream cake.

Good and bad in my view, our guide Alexandra was very good and informative, but we had savoury pierogi and Alexandra said we should try the sweet Pierogi, so it would have been nice for that to have been included in the desert course instead of a cream slice, also we had 2 shots of vodka at the start, so I think a nice Polish beer would have been nice when we had the main course, for what we had I think it was expensive. Also Alexandra said she was going to email us the food we had, the restaurants we went to and her recommendations for things to do on our free day, so we were disappointed

I am glad that you found Aleksandra to be a very good guide. Let me clarify the other points mentioned in your review:
1) The most important point is that we did send the summary of the trip with recommendations and when we contacted Gary he admitted that this message had been received and it was just that he had missed it (!).
Please always check your inbox/WhatsApp after the tour and if you think the message has not been sent please contact us so we can resend it immediately! We are sorry that it was mentioned in the review without actually checking your inbox. It's really unfair to us.
2) Our guides always recommend other delicious Polish food and drinks to try in Poland. Polish cuisine is so rich that we could easily organise several food tours and offer completely different food and drinks on each one. I think it's obvious that we can't try them all on one tour. You had 2 kinds of traditional savoury pierogi, which is enough as one of more than 10 tastings. The 'cream slice' is not just an ordinary cake, it has a very special meaning for the Polish people and a very unique history (as Aleksandra told you on the tour), so we definitely don't want to replace it with any other dessert or sweet pierogi. You finished the tour full, so I don't really see any room for other tastings like more pierogi or beer.
3) When it comes to price, we realise that Poland is no longer such an attractive destination for budget travellers. It's also frustrating for us as locals. Nevertheless we offer a full food tour with more than 10 tastings including a full meal and a selection of quality vodkas with typical snacks. Our price is very attractive considering the fair remuneration we pay our professional guides, raising food and drinks costs, Viator fees and taxes.

If I could give this tour more than 5 stars I would!! Without doubt one of the main highlights of our trip to krakow and would 100% recommend to anyone wanting to learn about and taste polish cuisine.
Tomasz was our guide and I cannot rate him highly enough! So organised, with messages a few hours before the start time to confirm everything and even sending through everything we covered and tasted after the tour had finished. An overall friendly, personable guy who had absolutely exceptional knowledge of polish cuisine and history. The food / drinks and places visited really were hidden gems of krakow that we wouldn’t have found if it weren’t for this tour & we already want to go back!!
We happened to be the only ones booked onto the tour at the time and date we chose which made this extra special for us as a personal experience, but even in a larger group we would have loved it!
Thomasz could not do enough for us - even helping us when unfortunately a different tour operator cancelled our trip for the next day at less than 24 hours notice - making recommendations and suggestions of what we could do and helping us with potential train and bus timings.
Absolutely went above and beyond!
If you are a foodie or just want to learn more about polish food & vodka on your trip to krakow - don’t hesitate!! Book this trip!

We had an excellent evening with Tomasz. The tour teaches you about the history of Krakow, as well of lots about the food (and vodka!) of the region. There food was plentiful and delicious. Tomasz also followed up with a list of all the places we’d been and what we’d had plus further recommendations, which was a really nice touch.
