Andrea was a very knowledgeable, professional, and friendly guide on our wine tour. She also provided tips on places to visit and things to do. We learned a lot about Turkish wine history and enjoyed a few glasses along the way. We highly recommend booking through this company!

Great tour that will introduce to Turkish wines. During the tour we visited three centrally located wine bars and tasted a wide array of Turkish wines…red, white, rose and even orange wine. Andrea, our host, was very knowledgeable about Turkish wines and should great enthusiasm about wine culture in Turkey. Highly recommend!

My sister and I recently participated in a private wine tasting tour in Istanbul, led by Andrea, who was indeed a delightful guide. Unfortunately, the charm of our guide could not compensate for the overall dismal quality of the tour, which cost us €458.
The tour took us to three wine bars, all of which were hidden in dreary back alleys that one could hardly associate with a premium experience. The establishments were not only lackluster but shockingly subpar, especially when considering the hefty fee. The supposed highlight, a “rooftop bar,” was merely a cramped balcony overlooking grimy buildings, far from the enchanting city vistas one might expect.
Reflecting on what we received versus the cost, the disparity is stark. With such an amount, we could have indulged in several bottles of fine champagne or enjoyed a variety of premium experiences elsewhere. Instead, we spent our limited and valuable time navigating through the most uninviting parts of Istanbul, tasting wines that did not live up to any standard of quality. While I understand that the Turkish wine scene is still evolving, the level of quality offered was unacceptable for the price charged.
This experience was not just disappointing—it was a stark reminder that high costs do not always equate to high quality. I hope this feedback prompts a reevaluation of the pricing and choice of venues to better reflect the true value and potential of Istanbul’s wine tasting tours.

Hello Katayoun,
Thank you for taking the time and sending us your feedback.
First and foremost, let me sincerely apologize that your experience with us did not meet your expectations. We pay a lot of attention to the services we provide and sincerely care about the quality of your experience with us.
Previously, all of our guests sincerely rated this tour with 5 stars and this is the first time we received negative feedback. We promise to take this very seriously and act accordingly to improve this wine-tasting experience.
Your host Andrea is an award-winning author of the gourmet book "The Essential Guide To Turkish Wine". She is a true expert when it comes to Turkish wines who always tries her best to adjust the tastings to the guest's preferences. During this experience, we try to showcase the native Turkish grape varieties and introduce to local wine-making traditions, different regions of Turkey and focus on small-scale boutique quality wineries. We understand that the wines that you taste in our tasting are not familiar and new. Wine tastings help us to discover new flavors and new grapes, and while different guests have different preferences we always try to showcase the rich tapestry of Turkish wines during our tastings. We regret to hear that Andrea could not find the right wines for you.
We are also sorry to hear that you were disappointed about the locations. With each place we visit on our tour, we try to tell a story about winemaking and wine consumption traditions in the country. For example, the first winery that you visited on your tasting with us is the first neighborhood wine bar established by one of the winemakers himself who produces his own wine and is currently building a vineyard accessible to the public just few hours away from Istanbul. This wine bar is known for its carefully selected and broad wine list that allows us to handpick wines according to the preferences of the guests and adjust to their wishes when selecting the tastings.
The second location is also a boutique establishment that focuses on small wine producers and has a great selection of organic cheeses sourced directly from farmers that cannot be found in other restaurants. This restaurant carries the wines that are not commonly found in other commercial establishments. Most of our guests compare this place to an establishment that could be found in Paris or Italy and enjoy the cozy and intimate atmosphere.
And lastly, we visit the rooftop restaurant with a view on Galata tower and Golden Horn for the final refreshing wine glass. Usually people like the surprise element, that the locations are so different from one another and that they could not be found without the assistance of a local guide.
This long explanation is only to say that we do carefully select the locations and intentionally build it around the winemaking culture of the country. We regret to hear that the route did not meet your expectations.
We highly value every customer and our intention is to deliver the best quality services. We will be in touch privately to see how we can better the situation.
Sincerely,
Goda
