Itinerary

Your epicurean experience begins with convenient pickup at your Istanbul accommodation. From there, travel to Taksim Square—a modern space, dominated by the 1928 Monument of the Republic, that buzzes with crowds heading to its high-end hotels, bars, and restaurants.

Begin your culinary journey by learning to make and sampling cig kofte, (a combination of bulgar, mint, parsley, spices, and raw beef). Treat your taste buds to other dishes like icli kofte, in which meat, spices, and nuts are enclosed in pastry and either steamed or fried, and then stop at a kebab house to devour a slow-roasted lamb kebab.

Sate your sweet tooth with a crunchy Turkish baklava at a local dessert shop before concluding your tour with drop-off at your Istanbul accommodation.

A delightful and personal experience tasting a variety of foods around the city (Spice Bazaar to Taksim Square). Be prepared to walk! I did get a break from the hill up to and down from Taksim Square by taking the trolley, etc. which added to my introduction to Istanbul.

More walking than eating

Our guide was knowledgeable but did not explain the structure of the tour (mostly walking to food in three very different locales). The sightseeing part was much longer than the tour description indicated, so we only enjoyed the first stop (after 40 minutes walking). We left the tour and departed without the third stop. Perhaps we misunderstood the description, but would not recommend as a food tour.

Ayhan was my tour guide he is very passionate about history “I received tons of information of history of Turkey”. He took me to the top places of the most delicious food “tons of food “ I was very full at the end “I had to tap out 😂” . He took me to the Hagia Sophia , New Mosque, Galata Tower, Bosphorus River, Spice Market, and we walked through the Istiklal Street. I truly enjoyed this guided tour with Ayhan I would really recommend it . “Also a great photographer “ .

Ayhan was great. He introduced us to places we might have missed. We did the tour on our first day in Istanbul, so we were able to revisit the places and enjoy the dishes again.

Wasn’t terribly pleased with this tour. Was expecting a better quality choices of bites than what was offered. Also the quantity of food that wasn’t sufficient. Overall it was pricey!

Dear Saeed, We apologize that you were not satisfied with the tour, we mention it very clearly this is a food tasting tour and we do offer more than we mention on the itinery, as you remember we ordered extra meatballs, chicken kebap, stuffed cabbage as well but i m so sorry if this was not enough for you as you left some of the items on table, regarding the pricy there are many tours with many different prices you can choose,

Working with Ayhan was awesome. He was a super accommodating and chill host. The pace for the evening was great. We were happy with the different types of dishes eaten as well as the walk through of the different neighborhoods. There is a good amount of walking (to burn off the calories).
