Mixed Experience on Our Istanbul Tour - Missing Value for Money

We recently booked an 8-day tour through Viator, with high hopes for a memorable baby moon. Unfortunately, our experience was a mix of good and bad, leading us to give a 3-star rating. The first two days in Istanbul were disappointing. We faced issues like late pickups and subpar hotel accommodations, including bed bugs and a disturbing alarm during the night. The response to these issues was inadequate, despite the high cost of the tour. Our tour guide for the second day seemed disinterested, and our boat tour lacked engagement and informative content. Additionally, our dietary preferences were ignored, and we were limited to basic meal choices, which was frustrating. The subsequent days improved slightly, but considering we paid nearly $800 per day, we expected a higher standard of service and attention to detail. This trip was not just a holiday; it was a special occasion as my wife is pregnant, and we had saved significantly for this experience. In summary, while there were some positive aspects, the overall value for money and quality of service did not meet our expectations, impacting our overall experience.
