Itinerary

Meet your guide at your Istanbul hotel for an early morning departure, then begin the scenic drive along the European side of the Dardanelles. Hear stories about the ‘Gentlemen’s War’ as you pass through the key WWI-era sites of Gallipoli, where Ottoman and ANZAC soldiers clashed in fierce battles.

Take in views of the waterfront from the ferry across the Dardanelles, then learn about Troy’s real-world history during the final 25-minute drive to Troy. Explore the UNSCO-listed Troy archeological site, where you’ll discover 4,000 years of extraordinary heritage. See 23 sections of the city walls that include city gates and stone ramps, then take in the Temple of Athena and sanctuary that date back to the city of Ilion, which was also founded on the Troy site.
