Excellent excursion, great value for money. We were collected from our hotel which is very handy. Our tour guide Hamza is absolutely the best! He made us feel so welcome and was really helpful and kind. The food was so good. Thanks a million!

The cruise to the islands gave you a beautiful view of the seas and sights of Istanbul Türkiye. The Princes Island is full of history and a must to walk around or opt to cycle around the Island. The beach looks beautiful but unfortunately too cold in early April. Very peaceful island compared to Istanbul. Hamez was a knowledgeable tour guide and accommodating to meet your expectations.

It was a great experience and tour! Very knowledgeable, funny and kind guide who was happy to help or let us explore on our own. Would absolutely do it again anytime! The ferry ride to and from was beautiful and relaxing. The time on the island felt like the perfect amount to sight see, eat, explore, and shop.

Wonderful tour BUT BEWARE the hard sale at the leather shop at the end of the tour. The Princes island tour was very nice. Hamza was extremely knowledgeable about the area.

A fabulous day out!

First time to Istanbul, had a fantastic day with Hamza. Very lucky to have only had 8 of us together so felt very personal. Hamza is very knowledgeable, easy to talk to and was cracking jokes all day. Drinks aren't included in the lunch and you'll need to pay for them separately so bear that in mind but the menu was pretty extensive for what it was and the food was good. The leather shop at the end was a sales tactic but honestly, free tea and we found the fashion show very entertaining and there was no pressure to buy at all so overall we thought it added to the day! Would definitely recommend especially if it's your first time here and you want a guide to help you get your bearings and show you what's around. Hamza really made the day and we were equally as impressed with Murats driving of the coach through narrow alleyways and awkward turns. Incredibly skilled driver! And they went out of their way to pick us up from our hotel which wasn't listed in the options so that very nice of them. 5 stars! Thank you for having us!

Nice one day trip to princess island with an unexpected ending

Overall we had a nice day trip to the princess island. It is a day trip I would recommend to do. Our guide Hamza was really nice and took care of us making sure we are ok during the trip. But the travel agency operating this trip should be be more organized with the pick up hours. We were told to be ready half an hour ealier than the time in the event and we were picked up later than the original time. And don’t be surprised if at the end of the tour you end up in a kind of “fashion show” and leather shop (which was not included in the description of the trip) We were not interested so we could just leave earlier. If the guides mention something about “shopping schedule” ask with details what it is about so you can decide to join.

December island joy

It was a relaxing day’s trip. Although it was in December I felt the charm of the island bouncing off the sides of the buildings, through the gorgeous flowers that refused to remain hidden away during the slightly chilly air, the cats playfully meandering around us. And all through this Ege patiently and joyfully navigated us around the island. He was knowledgeable about the history and its place in turkey’s history. I had a great time. Ege was personable and wonderful to be around. Would highly recommend it.

Great relaxing tour

Hamza was very professional and friendly. He told us a lot about Istanbul and its buildings. Ferry ride to island took about 1hr 40 min each way but stopped at other islands for pickup/drop off of passengers. We always had a view from the ferry so many photos taken. The Princes' Islands are made up of 9 islands and we got off at Buyukada Island. There are only little electric buses here for tourists that go around the island, these were great but went too fast to take photos out the windows. Only other transport is bikes and walking, so peaceful with no traffic. Lovely little shops to look around and explore. We did a walking tour with Hamza who explained the history of the buildings and island. The lunch provided was great as had a pick from a set menu of about 15 dishes which were a great range of items. Had to pay for our drinks which was not a problem. Only issue we had was the fact there were cats hanging around restaurant and they jumped up on chairs next to us while we were eating. This is a health issue and also a problem for anyone who is allergic to cats (like I am). It is not nice to have animals around your food while you are eating and the restaurant needs to do something about this. Maybe the tour needs to find a different place to have the lunches given this issue. Apart from that the food was delicious and plentiful. We had an hour of free time to look around which we did by walking up a hill part way and looking through shops. Ride back on ferry was nice and when we arrived back we were taken to a leather place where they did a little fashion show of some of their garments then we could look through the shop. We were not pressured to buy anything which was a surprise so we enjoyed looking through the garments. So many beautiful pieces but we didn't need anything so did not buy. We were dropped back at our hotel between 5.00-5.30 so was a full day. Would recommend the tour to anyone who wants to get a little down time and some where away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Hamza is a great tour guide, professional and friendly. His English is really good.

The guide was friendly and knowledgeable, but this is a trip one can do on his/her own. The food was only adequate. A number of the sites on the itinerary were closed, and the trip with a visit to a leather store with a sales‘ pitch.

A unique experience

This tour was very well organized. I received a message the day before the tour to advise me on my hotel pick-up time. In the morning, I also received a message from the cab driver letting me know he was on his way. We were driven to the port, where we were met by our tour guide Ege. Ege guided us onto the ferry and gave our group a brief introduction on what to expect for the day, plus a great mini history lesson. The ferry stops briefly at a few islands before we arrived on Büyükada Island. The electric car/bus is a great option to have a look around the island. Ege kindly escorted our group up to the summit of the island to see St. George Orthodox Monastery and the fantastic views. It's well worth the hike. It’s a relatively inclined path that needs energy to master. Take water. The lunch provided was fresh and tasty. We had free time to explore the small island. It’s without cars, so great to walk freely to view the amazing blend of Ottoman and Victorian architecture. Ege was on hand during the whole trip; he’s an amazing character—calm, informative, and attentive. Thank you, Ege, for your time and knowledge. Overall, I would highly recommend this tour for the serenity, both on the ferry rides and the island.

A long boat trip with lunch
