I DO NOT recommend ever booking with Viator. The app did not allow for me to download the itinerary. I thought this tour was a small group so wasn't overly concerned until the day of when the driver told me I would be taking the flight to Kayseri on my own and will meet a driver when I arrive (not the tour guide). I am a woman traveling alone and getting into unmarked vehicles where drivers often speak minimal or no English is terrifying in a foreign country. After receiving my itinerary it would change and one of the days I was supposed to go to the travel office and was informed by the driver in the unmarked vehicle, where I was by myself, that he would drop me at a hotel - not one that was on the itinerary. Viator takes no responsibility and will state as much when you contact them up to including negligence, death, misconduct etc. What does this mean? This means if you were raped on one of the tours Viator arranged for you, they are not liable. Buyer beware! Never ever will I book Viator again.

Awful - with some exceptions

First, the pluses. Guides were generally good. Hacer, in Pamukkale and Ephesus, was outstanding. But was was the problem with this tour? First, there needs to be CLEAR, SPECIFIC, communication with the passengers regarding what to expect. Examples: We were picked up from our hotel and taken to the Istanbul airport. There was never any indication that a guide would NOT be with us. We were left at the airport by the driver and we had to fend for ourselves. It needs to be made clear that passengers will be ON THEIR OWN. Upon arriving at the airport serving Capadoccia, there were a number of drivers holding cards with first names of passengers. We saws a drtiver that had both our first names, so we took that ride. As it turned out, however, it was the wrong driver because there was another passenger there who had bout our first names. That required hurried phone calls to rectify the situation. DRIVERS NEED TO USE LAST NAMES, OR COMPLETE FIRST AND LAST NAMES TO AVOID ANY POTENTIAL CONFUSION. Once the Capadoccoa part of the tour was completed, at 4 pm, we had to wait 4 hours before taking an overnight bus to Pamukkale. That is unreasonable. We were tired after a day long tgour. We decided to ask the hotel manager to rent a room for a few hours so that we could rest. And we paid for that. Something needs to be done about that. Next, the 10 hour bus trip to Pamukkale was a disaster. It was uncomfortable, smelly, the entertainment screens did not work. There was no rest room in the bus. The bus stopped several times on the way. We arrived at Pamukkale around 5 am and were dropped off in the middle of a road, where it was dark, and a van was wairting. A driver, rudely whisked us into a minivan and took us to a travel agency. There we were taken to a small, cold, pensione like room so we could "rest." for about 3.5 hours. We were tired and frustrated; could not sleep; the heater in the room did not work well, so we hesitated to take a shower. PASSENGERS NEED TO BE GIVEN AN OPTION TO FLY TO PAMUKKALE. A TEN HOUR BUS TRIP, FOLLOWED BY A FULL DAY EXCURSION SIMPLY DOES NOT WORK., Much more could be said about this tour. But I believe there need to be some fundamental changes ion how the tour is organized, how communication with passengers is handled. As it stands right now, it is next to worthless.

Dear Daniel, We are very sorry to hear that you were not happy with the tour. But I am sure we all can say its not awful. Firstly we send you full itinerary time by time with what to do and see, we would expect if you have any doubts or questions you could of ask.. thats why we are here..as when you were in wrong bus we change it immediatelly. This is one of the best selling tour not only us but all companies in Turkey. Sadly there is not flight options between Cappadocia and Pamukkale so we have nothing to do about it and if you read our itinerary again we mentioned its an overnight bus takes 10 hours. As again we have not much to do about the distance and public bus time schedule, sorry to say but its what it is. just because the wierd bus timing we give you fresh up room in Pamukkale. Over all this is a budget tour and we trying our best to provide you good service. We will definetly consider again our hotel options in Pamukkale
