We had an amazing time on this tour, Andy our crew manager was very very good and we had an amazing waiter called Sam. We ate amazing food and saw some great views on the bay.

The crew really made this a stand out cruise! Everyone was friendly, but Andy was a superstar. He encouraged enthusiasm and a high energy atmosphere. He was great 😊. Lisa was also amazing! The Bay is an absolute must see! Room was a bit rustic. I paid for a junior superior suite and ended up on the lowest deck next to the loud engine room. There was trash on my balcony. The room was rugged, not five star . Just keeping it real. Also the second day lunch was served two hours after breakfast, at 9:30 am. They called it brunch 🥴. What they could have done better is balance out by the fabulous crew and Andy.

Overall, would we go on the tour again, yes. The view are worth it!!
Pros:
* Gorgeous views. You get to sail around and it’s magical.
* We did like the boat and the room! AC in the room was amazing.
* Kayaking and swimming were great!!
* We did a 3 day / 2 night cruise. The “day cruise” we did on the full day was nice.
* Happy hour was nice! 3 drinks for $20ish USD. Expensive for Vietnam but fine for a cruise.
* There was a place on board to refill water which was good.
Cons
* Food was fine. Not good but fine I guess…. You pay a lot for the cruise to get meh / bland food. My fiancé had salmon one night which pretty much guarantees it was frozen. There is so much seafood around, why are we given frozen? I didn’t eat a lot of it because it was grainy, fatty, etc. I would have rather had Vietnamese food than cheap western food.
* Kinda annoying that the schedule wasn’t clear. We were two nights and the boat had two rounds of one night people. On the second night, we were all showered and such after our day out, only to find out there was more swimming that night and we were never told about it. Logistically I understand having one night people change over, but we ended up at the same place twice and being very confused about the schedule.
* We understand that weather is unpredictable but there should be a rain plan. We sat around for HOURS with no idea what was happening. They need a plan for delays due to rain.
* The trip through silk and bamboo ikea was weird. And expensive if you did want something. Felt like a late night infomercial. It was an annoying waste of time.
* Our guide also was going up to people on the boat ride back to the dock, asking them to do their 5 star review right then so he could then take a picture of it. This makes me wonder if other high reviews were pressured into it?
* We also just were not fans of our guide. So that probably caused a negative impression of the whole cruise.

Did this tour in 2024, it was awesome. The host was brilliant and the boat was great. The food was good, the views stunning, the accommodation was good and an awesome way to see the bay.

Staff and boat are amazing. But my experience was ruined from the second day. They had messaged me saying they were picking me up a day earlier than meant to. So I believe they messed up my booking. Organisers has then put me in an over night 2 day cruise when I had booked and paid for a 3 day 2 night cruise. Everyone left the next day and they expected me to go out on my own. I ended up staying on an empty boat with the staff stripping the boat and resetting it. The next people arrived and then the exact same activities, meal, everything right down to what the host said word for word all happened again. I didn’t get to spend any time with anyone as they did what we had done the day before. I was just on my own. Contacted the organiser several times who was extremely rude. The staff on board said they were sorry and says they had told the organisers and hoped they would do something for me.
Started as a fantastic first day to become a let down due to being out on a one night cruise when I was on for 2 days. Organisers attitude was terrible

The cruise itself was excellent, but the booking experience left a bad taste in my mouth.
A day before departure, I was contacted and offered a "free upgrade" to a different cruise. The company claimed it was a higher-tier product, but when I researched the boat, I found significantly worse reviews. I also noticed that several amenities included in my original Amanda Cruise booking, including meals, were not clearly included on the proposed replacement. When I declined the offer, I was suddenly informed that my room on Amanda Cruise had an unexpected water leak and that I would need to switch boats.
At that point, I told them that I either wanted to remain on the Amanda Cruise I had booked or receive a full refund. About an hour later, they informed me that a room on Amanda Cruise was available after all. Given the timing, it was difficult not to feel that the "water leak" issue was being used to pressure customers into switching cruises.
That said, once we actually boarded the Amanda Cruise, the experience was fantastic. The staff were friendly and attentive, the room was clean and comfortable (air conditioning and hot water), the food was fine, and the itinerary was well organized. Ha Long Bay was absolutely beautiful, and the onboard experience exceeded expectations.
The squid fishing and foot baths were mid (they don't give you any bait)
Overall, I would recommend the cruise itself, but I would strongly advise future travelers to be cautious if they are contacted before departure and encouraged to switch boats. Stand your ground and insist on receiving the cruise you originally booked.

Just okay. The sights and setting were beautiful as the bay is known for the dramatic scenery. But the cruise experience was less than expected. The food was mediocre and the happy hour was misleading. The staff was often seen watching tv on their phones/playing games, it didn’t feel like anyone really wanted to be there. The staff requested tips multiple times which was a bit off putting as they were doing the bare minimum. The rooms were okay, not at all what is shown in the photos. They were old and there were times when I thought the toilet and sink were going to fall apart (my sink drain actually came apart and water leaked everywhere). We were like herded cattle - in and out, ready for the next group to do it all over again. I can see why people would want to do an overnight cruise, it’s a cool experience to sleep among the rock formations. But the time on the boat was spoiled by lack of service, low attention, and chaotic energy. Not recommended for people looking for an elevated, relaxing experience that feels like a vacation.

This was a wonderful experience! The staff went above and beyond to make sure that we felt welcome upon boarding and everything was clearly laid out for us. All the meals were delicious as was the optional activities. We made a few friends on the ship and participated in some of the traditional dancing. The rooms are quite large for being on a boat and we really enjoyed the view of the water from our balcony.

First of all, the cruise did a last minute bait and switch by saying I need to start a day later or go to a different cruise to do same dates. I chose different cruise. I had to pay an Extra $30 per person for “upgrades” on the new cruise even though they messed with my original cruise! So I paid extra $100 with foreign, credit card feez, for nothing! Bus pick up was good. They force you to sit through “silk and bamboo” advertisement and product pushing. Only things good about cruise was the food and activities like swimming, cayaking, going to a beach, playing beach volleyball and exploring caves. Other than that, you pay for everything even though it’s supposed to be “all inclusive”. You pay for Water, soda, alcoholic or non alcoholic drinks every time you get food. Every thing is in USD for drinks even water. They have happy hour buy 2 get 1 free to trick you to buy more alcohol which is $10 each. God knows if I will end up paying $100 for water, soda drinks alone since it is not included. Only water and tea in your room is “free”. Main activities like Tai Chi, squid fishing and cooking “class” was half baked no effort time waster. WiFi is garbage, toilet drains too slow, Air Conditioning barely works, Boat is old and staff does not speak English. Everyone is pan handling for tips. The check in process was a garbage. There are much better and newer cruises like the Calista I will go on next!

Let’s start with, Ha Long Bay is beautiful.
The overnight cruise was fantastic, especially considering the price.
I should have booked the 3/2 instead of the 2/1.
The bus to/from Hanoi was clean, had WiFi, charging ports and bottled water.
The driver, tour guide, cruise director, tender operator and cruise staff were all wonderful.
My cabin had a balcony, large tub, nice shower, mini fridge and king bed. Very clean, air conditioning and well maintained.
The ship has a sun deck, small pool, dining room and bar.
The meals were great and there were several activities. It was relaxing. I would do it again and I do recommend it to others.

Great food: great views, great service!
Catch - the nice brown color boat shown in the pictures may not be the boat you are on. They have 4 boats. So, you have only 25% probability that you will be on that boat. The other boats are nice, fully functional but needs maintenance. Similarly, the rooms are nice but not as nice as the pictures shown. There are many more modern boats.
Still a great cruise. The place is plain mind-blowing.

We booked with collection, however no one came to pick us up, no one answered the phones or any messages prior to the booking. We booked an overnight stay and had to then sort out a hotel last minute as we didn’t go on the cruise as no one collected us. Still haven’t heard back from them.

Wow, just wow. The landscape is incredible. I think that Vietnam is one of the most beautiful country and Halong Bay is a must do for all. The crews did exceptional job welcoming us and catered to our every needs. The cabin was little small but that is expected on a small ship. However, we could have easily spent a whole week on this boat. Tom and Jerry (Host and Manager who are also married) were great. They seemed genuinely enjoy their job. The restaurant manager, Long went out of his way to accomodate our needs. Exceptional service! Please keep in mind that they are all freelancers and depend on tips as majority of their income so please tip generously if they make your trip memoriable. I highly recommend this company.

- Hay Long Bay is beautiful. A cruise is a must do. Views from the boat were just great.
- Pit stops to the beach, cave and kayaking were all great fun and well timed.
- super comfy limo bus towards ha long was great.
- food buffet was okay. Not amazing or anything but like a 3-star hotel.
Cons
- drinks were already really overpriced, then at checkout they very cheekily added on 10% VAT and charged 4% to pay by card no matter the amount. Thought it was pretty sly and meant the drinks were extortionate. Left a sour taste.
- the boat we got was a bit old and felt a bit in need of TLC.
- crowded basic bus back to Hanoi felt like a downgrade compared to the way in.

Be careful how you book.We did not get the boat we thought we booked.Food was average and cold most of the time.Boat was not maintained properly. lf you have a complaint they are not helpful. I would recommend booking directly with the company so they don’t fob you off.

Good value for 1 night cruise. My wife and I paid $340 and that included a round trip from our hotel in Hanoi. It included food but not drinks. It was a lot of fun and we felt it was a good value but not quite as luxurious as the photos. All the staff were very helpful. We asked for all plant-based meals and they were very accommodating. I would recommend this, but if you are looking for a more luxurious cruise, you might want to pay $750 to $800 to get a more 5 star boat like is shown in the photos.

We arrived at the boat. But had to wait an hour to board.
They provided a buffet, but didnt have enough food for everyone... did this twice!!!!
Did not have hot water, 3 times, had to ask to fix and shut off. Poor service in general.

Great experience overall, but there were a few discrepancies compared to the photos shown
Pros:
- Very responsive and proactive communication via Whatsapp ahead of the cruise to iron out practicalities
- Friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere. The staff put in special effort to make pretty decorations on our dinner table and on our bed
- Good food and attentive to dietary needs
- Smooth transfer from Hanoi to Ha Long Bay
- Comfortable and clean room
- The pacing of the days was good
Cons:
- Photos shown in the listing are of several different cruise ships (of varying standards) so you don't know which one you're booking. For example the is a hot tub in the pictures which didn't exist on the actual cruise
- Although the room is comfortable, it is not nearly as luxurious as the photos would suggest
- The activities felt like an afterthought. They were all carried out by the tour guide and as a result were superficial. This is reasonable seeing as one person cannot be an expert in every activity. Ideally, there would have been dedicated people for the activities

Well organized tour, the bus transportation from Hanoi back and forth, the cruise boat , the staff specifically Dan the tour manager every thing was great and on time , be aware no internet/wi fi on the ship but if you have ESIM or physical sim so you are good ,

I'll start with the pros:
Ha Long Bay is beautiful
The food on the cruise was great
The rooms were great
The staff were friendly
Cons:
Wifi didn't work
Announcements from speakers aren't clear in the rooms, I missed one activity because of this
Advertised as all inclusive but alcoholic drinks weren't included, this could've been clearer.
Ha Long Bay is definitely very commercialised now (which as a tourist is hard to complain too much about)
The biggest reason I've given a low rating is that this was a very family friendly cruise, I really wish I'd known this beforehand. As a solo traveller in my early 30s I found the pace to be extremely slow and the atmosphere lacking. Not that I was necessarily looking for a party boat, but more like minded people and a more intense itinerary would've been more my thing.

Everything was very nice, and the quality/price ratio was very good!
The personnel were very friendly; the boat is in a good condition and clean; the food was delicious (the breakfast could have been a little bit more, but they served lunch pretty soon, so it was ok).
The Ha Long Bay, the scenery, the caves the water, everything was superb!
I recommend to anyone at least once in a lifetime to take this cruise!

Visiting Ha Long Bay was a dream of mine and Roxanne and team deliver a very luxurious experience. Although there were a couple of issues along the way Roxanne and team handle them effectively and professionally!

Regardless of the Ha Long bay tour they offer, this company force you to stop at a scam service station both on the way and way back from Ha Long bay, hugely inflated prices which they are clearly getting some form of kick back from for bringing tourists to.
It shows a clear lack of respect for their customers and I can’t recommend people book with this tour company until they change these practices.
