The cruise itself was lovely. We upgraded to a suite and I thoroughly recommend the investment. It is beautiful and spacious and not a huge amount of money. There were plenty of activities and visits and we started straight away. The food is very good. My only complaint is that there is too much. Our guide was friendly and knowledge. I was sad to leave!

Halong Bay in March

We had an incredible trip to Halong with 6 couples on the Amanda Cruise ship after the Hera boat had a maintenance issue on one of our rooms. Fortunately we got an upgrade. Tom (Cruise, haha, his English name) was the cruise manager with his wife as part of the crew. The hospitality and food on board was amazing. We enjoyed all of the activities (except Tip top island which was packed). Tom and his team was exceptional!

Grand Hera our best choice

The Hera Grand vessel is a classic well presented & beautiful boat. Our room & Ensuite was large, nice polished timber decor and comfortable. Air conditioned with a king size bed. The staff, service and food was excellent. The limestone formations & scenery was great with activities organised for every day. Plenty of time to relax on the 3 levels of the ship. We saw many ships in the HaLong Bay and we believe the Hera Grand was the classic top timber boat of them all. We did the 2n 3 day tour.

We had an amazing experience! The 3 days, 2 nights itinerary was perfect—so much better than just doing 1 night, as it gave us more time to relax and enjoy everything. Minh, our tour guide, was absolutely lovely—enthusiastic, entertaining, and knowledgeable. The staff were attentive, courteous, and went out of their way to accommodate our vegetarian/vegan food needs, which we really appreciated. On the second night we upgraded our room, and the staff made the whole process so easy, which was a great touch. Overall, a fantastic trip that we’d highly recommend!

My girlfriend and I booked this luxury cruise to celebrate her birthday and we had an amazing time! The staff was friendly and service was great, and they went the extra mile to really make the birthday special by setting up surprises in the room and singing happy birthday at lunch. Andre, the cruise manager, was super kind, thoughtful, and very knowledgeable about the area. The activities were fun and beautiful!! Food was also delicious. Highly recommend!

We got the grand luxury cruise and luxury cabin, it was beautiful. We unfortunately didn’t have time for the bath but it was a lovely room and a great cruise with lots of activities. Staff were friendly and helpful from organising pickups and drop offs from Hanoi to checking your activity preferences and likes / dislikes during the tour.
