Don’t book until the day you go.

This was the one tour we were looking forward to. Due to high winds the ship was unable to tender so we couldn’t get to shore. I offered to pay for the food purchased and asked for a refund for the rest. But the vendor refused. Paying over 600 euro for food is ridiculous. Don’t book until the day you go just in case of weather issues if you’re on a cruise.

Dear Carole, Thanks for taking the time to bring this to our attention. We always aim to deliver a great experience, and we are gutted when we don’t meet expectations. Unfortunately, we received your cancelation request only some hours before the event was to be taking place. At that point, unfortunately we couldn't refund you, as our policy allows free cancellation only within 24 hours from the event. The host was booked for you (and only for you) bought the ingredients, and got ready for the event. He found himself with no work activity for the day and we need to compensate him for his purchases and for his time. We always care about our customers' happiness, that's why you can cancel with very short notice (24 hours in advance), but we also need to safeguard our hosts rights. We are sorry that the ship could not dock, but unfortunately this was not our fault. We have guests who are on a cruise, and guests to make it to the meeting point walking, because they are allocated in the city center or nearby. I hope you understand how much we care about what we do, and welcome you to try another experience with us next time you're in Italy. I hope you enjoyed the rest of your trip in Italy, and would like to take the opportunity to apologise once again. Best regards,

What an great evening! Elisa, Marcello, and Erica were incredible hosts who made us feel so welcome. Their home is beautiful and the food was amazing. It is an evening our family will remember forever. We would definitely recommend this experience, and we hope to get back again someday.
