Martin S was not only incredibly knowledgeable but also patience and full of positive energy he took me to the beautiful street of Edinburgh and share practical tips and clever tricks in shooting at night. What a great experience! Martin was an exceptional tour guide who started the tour discussing my goals and expectations. He then took me to a variety of locations and vantage points that I would have struggled to find on my own given my short time in Edinburgh. He was such a gentleman and helped to carry my tripod and camera gear. He provided valuable input on improving my compositions to make my images more impactful. I would highly recommend Martin as a photography guide!

I was happy to have two separate tours (one daytime & one nighttime) on the same day with Martin S. He was extraordinarily accommodating, knowledgeable, personable, and when we hit a goodly bit of rain and fog, pivoted without issue. I am an advanced(?) amateur and he really helped me dust off the cobwebs of the basics and taught me so much that I'll be practicing and using going forward. When a guide is willing to stand with his hand over your lens for long periods of time to avoid you getting water on the lens, that's just above & beyond! I would highly recommend Martin S. and hope to take another tour with him the next time I'm in Edinburgh. I cannot recommend him enough!

We highly recommend this tour!! Martin was wonderful, he was very knowledgeable, friendly and really wanted us to have a great tour. The weather was dreadful, cold and rainy, and Martin went out of his way to teach us different photography settings and how to use them effectively. Martin made sure we were happy with the experience and photos before we were done.

We are very serious to semi-professional photographers. When visiting new places, we look for private photography tours so we go to the best places for photography. Martin Smith, our tour guide, provided us with that. He is knowledgeable, personable, flexible, and fun to be with. We took us to places we'd not have found. We talked photography exploring each others interests and experiences. We would recommend him in a heart beat and hire him again the next we return to Edinburgh.
