Loli was absolutely amazing she made the trip feel as if we were traveling with family, not on a bus full of strangers. She is full of information, went out of her way to accommodate everything we wanted to do, and more. My love of “Outlander” was even incorporated into our trip. I would 100% recommend this two day tour,, there is nothing as special than to learn and enjoy the scenery through the eyes and stories of a proud Scott. Loli has a place in our hearts and home. This 2-day Edinburgh to Inverness excursion was by far the highlight of my trip. I daresay, it might have been the greatest road trip I have ever taken. Sam, our guide, was amazing, knowledgeable, and very friendly! While it seemed like it would be a lot of driving, there were so many great stops on both days and my camera roll is absolutely full of pictures from the highlands. Everything was very smooth and I loved the Bed and Breakfast I stayed at in Inverness. I would 100% recommend Timberbush Tours in the future and absolutely want to eventually come back and book their 3-day Isle of Skye trip.

We had a nice experience with Timberbush tours, our guide Lorna was very friendly and shared wonderful stories. Due to rain and early sunset a lot of the experiences were impacted, but we appreciated Lorna’s efforts to take us to alternate spots. The stop at Culloden Battlefield was unnecessarily long and there was nothing much to do there. Some of the information on Viator is outdated for example the drop off location.

Had a great time. Visited all the spots I wanted and got a couple of extras I didn’t know about. Driver/guide was funny. Bus was quite comfortable. Weather held (which I know tour company has no control over but it helps a lot w a pleasant tour).

Our driver/host took us to see many historical sites and knew a lot of the history. He made a lot of stops which we appreciated. You can’t go wrong on this 2 day tour.

Although I enjoyed the experience because the Scottish Highlands are beautiful and the tour was comfortable with a small number of people, there were things that were really disappointing and misleading. I really thought we would have the opportunity to see the bridge where the Jacobite train crosses over but I was disappointed that this was not a part of the itinerary but for some reason I thought it was!
Anyhow, the start to our trip was so confusing because we received an email telling us to be at the meeting point for a 9:00 am departure. This was ABSOLUTELY wrong and we would have missed the bus because as I knew from my communication with the operator, departure was at 8:30 am. Since we did not want to take any chances, we ignored the latest email and stuck to the original time.
Another disappointment was reaching Inverness close to 7:00 pm. The town shuts down at 7:00 pm so there was nothing to do or see. Even getting food was a problem. I think the overnight stop should have been at Fort Augustus. It's a much prettier town and we got there by 4:30-5:00 pm. The rest of the trip could have continued from the next morning.
Another BIG disappointment was the Blair Athol Distillery. There was no arrangement by the tour operator for our visit so when we got there, they told us that they were full for both the 4:30 & 5:30 tours since we did not have a booking. The operator should not put it on the itinerary if they have no intentions of letting us visit. Was quite a let down.
Another thing I was told via email was that drop off was possible at Waverley all we had to do was ask our guide. Well, he outright refused and dropped us off at Charlotte square (which was not even mentioned anywhere!) in the rain.
Despite all of this, I don't want to just dwell on the disappointments. The experience was still enjoyable. We had a very knowledgeable guide who showed us many sights that were amazing and we would never have got to see them if we hadn't taken the tour. I suppose the organizers could improve the experience if they tweaked it a little bit.

Our tour was absolute spectacular. The views were amazing and many many photo stops. Our guide Adam was amazing with everything. Very informative and will to give more time and stops when needed. Adam had no problems with helping get the walker or making sure that we had alternative routes to see/take pictures through the journey . The price of the tour is well worth trying to get a car drive and find hotels on the way. The only thing was if you have a person who needs accommodations (wheelchair,walker or limations) I would make sure that everyone is absolutely aware of this as we ran into an issue with the hotels. Our guide was very helpful trying to get another room that didn’t have 10000 steps up. We had an other timberbush driver that ended up moving rooms for us which was very apperceive. This is the only part of the time that caused some stress and unwanted hassle. Everything else was very very good. We even got to enjoy the highland coos!!!

We decided to take a 2 day tour from Edinburgh to Inverness. Since I have walking issues, we wanted a small tour instead of a large group. We were so happy we opted for the Timberbush tour which is in a large comfortable van holding 16, with 12 on our tour.
Sam our driver and guide not only had a great personality, but was so knowledgeable about the tour stops and made sure we were advised of what to expect. He explained the sites we were going to before each stop, and allowed ample time to briefly explore the areas. There was something to see every hour or so, which gave us a good break to stretch our legs and have a restroom stop! My husband is really into history and is from the UK, so he and Sam discussed many of my husbands questions. We saw so many historical sites and lovely Scottish villages.
In Inverness we were divided into a few hotels and B & B's. Ours was lovely, and the woman who lived there was charming to talk with and gave us suggestions for dinner.
This was a great way to be introduced to the countryside of Scotland. Sam being our guide made it that much better with knowledge and sense of humor - great asset to Timberbush who ran the trip! Would recommend this tour to get a flavor of what transpired over the years in Scotland.

A great way to get a feel of the Highlands and cover many places in a short time. We took the overnight tour. Got to see many picturesque places and historical ones too. This is one of the best tours I've done. It was worth every cent. There is so much beauty to see along this 2 day trip. So much to see and this is one of the best ways to take in as much as you can. Inverness was delightful and the drive all along Loch Ness, marvelous.
Our guide and driver, Cliff was extensively knowledgeable. He even went so far as to curate a playlist for the drive.
Every stop was a gem, and he knew of stops and viewpoints that were superior to the typical ones. We saw so much along the way. He also had suggestions for what to do at every place.
I would do it all again.
Even the drive back into Edinburgh was a treat with a view of the famous bridges.

The tour guide, Jaime, was good. We stayed in a beautiful bed & breakfast in Inverness that I would like to return to. The only drawback were the lunch stops that had a limited food selection and were away from the town.

My husband and I did this tour as part of our honeymoon and couldn’t have had a better time. Our tour guide was Shug and he was so incredibly lovely. He was very knowledgeable about every stop along the way and then some, and had a very fun and sarcastic enthusiasm about him. When he heard we were on our honeymoon, Shug went out of his way to make our tour special. He even got us a bottle of wine for us to enjoy. The accommodations were very nice and clean. We would 100% do this tour again and would recommend Shug to anyone considering touring the beautiful highlands. Zero complaints!

The trip was truly incredible. Our tour guide Shug told so many personal and historical stories throughout the road trip. He went out of his way to accommodate everyone on the van. The company canceled the tour because not enough people signed up. They informed me of this only a few days before the tour date, leaving me scrambling to rearrange my plans and find a last minute hotel. They should have either notified me of the cancelation long before the tour date, or conducted the tour anyway, and eat the loss as part of doing business.

We absolutely loved this two day tour around Scotland. Our guide, Jillian, gave us a tremendous amount of information about the history of each sight, monument, and geographic location as offering suggestions for different foods, restaurants and sights to see on our own. We considered making this journey ourselves in a rental and I'm so glad that we left the driving up to Jillian. This is a must-do trip for anyone that wants to see as much of Scotland as possible in just a couple of days.

Fantastic 2 day trip from Edinburgh. Every day we made multiple stops, our driver Shug was awesome. The minibus was very comfortable, there were multiple options for rest and food. Shug was super knowledgeable, funny, gave excellent advice and went above and beyond to share his love for Scotland. Now we love it to, thanks to Shug. Bed and breakfast in Inverness was lovely with excellent breakfast. Thank you Shug and the company for making a difference!

I booked this trip so my brothers and I could see the Highlands. The tour was excellent. David was a great driver and guide and had good recommendations. He also proved to be a deer whisperer. The accommodations in Inverness were fine and close to restaurants. It was a great trip.
