The Cathedral was wonderful! It was very interesting and the audio tour was relevant and interesting. Loved the rubbings and great store down in the crypt.

A really beautiful cathedral. Worth visiting while in Dublin!! Easy to self-guide. The crypt was interesting too with lots of artifacts from Irish history.

It’s a must see while in Dublin! The architecture and the significance of this holy place is beautiful! I wish I could have been a fly on the walls from the beginning of its existence! It’s very well preserved!

Dublin has a lot of beautiful old churches and this one was very special. The beauty is unmatched in the city. The history and well maintained appearance was worth the visit. So if you visit Dublin then this is worth the visit,

We had other activities planned throughout the day. We headed over around 215 to visit the church. They informed us it was closed and I would have to come back at 4:30. That was impossible as I said we had other activities planned for the day. So that was a waste of my money.
Response from Host, Sep 2025
Hi Missy. I'm sorry you were unable to visit as planned on Sunday. Our opening hours on Sundays operate around service times, and we endeavour for this to be listed in the 'Know before You Go' section pre-purchase and in a confirmation email. Hope to welcome you to the cathedral on another occasion in the near future.

Beautiful cathedral with an interesting crypt. The self guided tour makes easy peazzy allow you to play dress up as a Tudor.
Tonya_A, Sep 2025
Gorgeous. Doesn’t matter what religion you practice, this structure is amazing and very historic. There is something for everyone here. I would highly recommend.
Michael_N, Aug 2025
Reverse ticket. Great info and the recording were clear. There are places for you to set and lesson. No one rushes you thru.
laulaashley, Aug 2025
We purchased tickets to tour the cathedral knowing that on the Sunday we were scheduled to tour we would need to arrive after 11:30 when services were over. We arrived at 2:50 and were told that the cathedral was closed for Evensong at 4:00 PM. As far as I can see, this was never mentioned. Because the cathedral would close at 4:30 that day it was obvious that we wouldn't be able to use these tickets that we paid for. Viator should have given us a warning about this issue.
Response from Host, Aug 2025
Hi laulaashley. Thanks for your review although I'm sorry to read that you were unable to visit the cathedral. On the cathedral's listing on Viator it outlines our opening hours for each month, I'm unsure which month you visited. During our choir's term time (Sept-June inclusive) on Sundays we're open for visiting between services. Services are at 11:00 and 15:30. Under additional information on our listing, the same is advised and that last admission is 45 minutes before closing. It further advises visitors to check the cathedral website for service times. Sorry if this information was not clear, we'll look into working with Viator to make this more prominent.

Interesting place with a lot of history. Heard some about it while on a walking tour and our guide recommended seeing the inside and reading about some of the lore of the church
Paul_W, Feb 2025

Millie_H, Jan 2025
The Roman and Gothic architecture would pass you by if you didn’t listen to the audio guide…. Look out for the mummified cat and rat
Margaret_O, Nov 2024
The church is beautiful inside. Is a great opportunity to take pictures. The underground crypt has so much history and is amazing to see. It has a wonderful gift shop.
Allie_C, Sep 2024
The church is amazing to see in person. We were fortunate to attend morning prayer which was beautiful (and I am not religious).
Na_Y, Sep 2024

Beautiful church.

It was so beautiful and we really loved participating in the peace prayer.
We were able to walk here easily from St Patrick’s and then walk to Guinness

We enjoyed Christ Church Cathedral and also Dublina. We learned a lot about Dublin and its Viking Heritage.
Michael_M, May 2024
Easy access. Beautiful church. Staff isn’t familiar with online tickets but it was worked out. Most accessible church I’ve seen
Brenda_P, Apr 2024
I love the beautiful tile floors throughout the church amazing. We love the tour of the crypt. The petrified cat and mouse were outstanding. It was just a very interesting place.
Deirdre_T, Aug 2023
Loved the church the best part was the crypt very evocative and timeless.
The choir was practicing at the end of the tour which was so beautiful
Paul_M, Jul 2023
Beautiful and interesting cathedral, but it was a little hard to find a few of the sites in the crypt as we listened to the audio tour. Do take advantage of the audio tour as it makes the visit more meaningful. If you only have time for one, Christ Church was a narrow win over St. Patrick's for us.
Response from Host, Jul 2023
Thanks Paul for your feedback, we really appreciate it.
Regina_A, Jun 2023
Beautiful church, the grounds had beautiful flowers. Then we went to the Viking museum across the street that’s also in the church. Must see
Kerry_T, May 2023
The choir that was singing in the chapel. The crypt was very interesting. How ever they almost would not let us in because we booked through a third party
Agnieszka_W, May 2023
