Hear all about the dark side of Dublin on this group tour, where your guide will tell you gruesome stories about grave robbing, torture, cannibalism, and more unsavory tales. These are stories you can’t find in a regular guidebook, and some of the places you’ll visit would be difficult to find without your trusty guide.
Besides hearing dark stories of Dublin, you’ll also get to see some of the city’s most famous sites as you walk through town. Walk by Dublin Castle’s upper and lower courtyards, Saint Patrick’s Cathedral, Christ Church Cathedral, and more, until you finally finish at Smithfield Square. Note that you don’t enter the churches and cathedrals, but you will hear stories about their dark pasts.

Great tour! Definitely worth it! Would highly recommend if you are interested in the dark side of history. We have some of the same history from the US so some of it did not shock me but I found the reaction of others interesting to see, especially other fellow Americans... it is always good to know your history and where you're from and what our ancestors endured at different times in history. Learn it to not repeat it. Again, highly recommend!

This was an absolute hidden gem. Such a different walking tour filled with tales although horrific of the past. Kieran made all the difference. He is a gifted storyteller who makes you compelled to listen to every word. Who knew two hours could fly by so fast. Again it was the guide/owner of the company who made all the difference. As described it more gothic and alternative in nature. Thanks for a great early evening. Definitely recommended. Such a positive alternative to a typical ghost tour. Only wondered why we started so early.

An exceptional way to spend an evening before dinner! From torture and murder to graverobbers, banshees and ghosts, tour guide Ciaran was a wealth of knowledge about the dark side of Dublin. Delivered with humor and a deep understanding of the Irish psyche, his stories were a wealth of fascinating historical insights that gave us a better understanding of the city, its colorful characters and its evolution over the centuries. We actually learned a great deal on this tour, far beyond our expectations. He ended with a story about the last witch burned in Dublin, a brothel owner named Darkey Kelly, which is today the name of a terrific bar. We headed straight there after the tour to enjoy a Guiness and listen to some rollicking Irish music. An ideal and truly memorable evening!

My husband and I did this tour and absolutely enjoyed it! Not only did we get to see plenty of popular sights in Dublin, but we also heard several gory stories on this tour. Our tour guide, Kieran, had great enthusiasm and is an excellent storyteller, so much so that we felt that the two hours passed in the blink of an eye. Would highly recommend this tour!

Great tour! Guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. Learned info about Dublin that you’d never learn on regular tours of the city. Wear a raincoat. It rained the majority of our tour, but apparently that’s normal for Dublin.

This fantastic tour was different than the traditional history tour. We heard stories and visited some of the darker sides of the city. Our guide kept us interested and intrigued throughout and really enjoyed the tour. I definitely would recommend it.

We had an amazing tour guide, Kim! She brought the experience to life with her amazing story telling and fun anecdotes. The tour provides you with a good insight on the history of the places visited while also not steering away from the darker aspects of the story; There was also plenty of laughs and excitement throughout the tour. My family enjoyed it immensely and definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Dublin! Kim was also insanely kind, providing us with recommendations on what to do in Dublin and in Ireland in general!

We took this tour with Hendrick and he was amazing! A historian and natural storyteller, he walked and talked for 2 hours and kept us enthralled the entire time. We heard stories spanning centuries and these gave us a greater sense of the city’s long and chaotic history. We heard legends and myths as well as true stories that were so creepy and scary that we just had to laugh so we wouldn’t run away! This was a wonderful tour and I highly recommend it.

Hendrick was a wonderful tour guide! Wealth of knowledge but also quite funny and very engaging. I did this tour a few hours after landing in Dublin and it was the perfect way to see the city, learn some of the (dark!!) history, and walk the town. Loved it
