Mostly good experience, few points to work on.

David_F, Apr 2026
Sites included were great and we got to experience much of Ireland’s natural beauty. The sheepdog demonstration and horse back riding were hits with my family. That said, part of the joy of these tours is the community that gets established and and the friendships that are formed. The wat Paddywagon operates, with people in, people out from 2-day tours and 3-day tours is not conducive to group cohesion. Our tour guide was adequate on the information front, a bit too much about his personal preferences for my tastes. On several occasions he did not give clear directions or set specific expectations. Then when his preferences were not met and one of our crew was “late” I felt he overreacted and berated her publicly. I thought he was unfair to her and failed to acknowledge that part of the failure rested with him. He also struggled to keep track of the numbers signing up for optional activities resulting in a fair degree of confusion. Again he tended to place blame on the group members, rather than admit much of the error rested with him. An easy solution would have been assign a group member the responsibility of giving him a list of those choosing the option. Overall it was a positive experience but I found the ever shifting itenerary to accommodate pick-up and drop-offs from other tours to be frustrating. This should be acknowledged in the promotional material. Also, Venitor needs to confirm pick-up/ drop-off points with Paddywagon because what we were told/directed to was wrong.

The tour guides/bus...

Kathleen_G, Apr 2026
The tour guides/bus drivers were very knowledgeable. The areas we visited, as well as the accommodations, were well thought out. They have the timing down to a science. Having a group of less than 20 passengers made the experience very enjoyable. Everyone pretty much gets to know one another. I would highly recommend this four day tour!

We were able to see alot...

alison_e, Mar 2026
We were able to see alot of Ireland in a short time. Did not like the drop off at the end of the trip being at a taxi pick up spot instead of our hotel with all our luggage to haul around.

Good tour to take

Venisha_D, Oct 2025
The driver the first day was awful, but the driver and guide for the last 3 days - Gordon - was great! Saw a lot of beautiful Irish countryside and sites.

A+++Bus Driver/Guide Made the tour special for us

Annette_P, Sep 2024
Our Dublin local bus driver and guide Danny was so knowledgeable and lovely. Great advice and very kind. Five stars ***** for Danny!!! Dingle Peninsula and the Slea Head Drive on a spectacular day was better to me than any of the hyped attractions like the Cliffs of Moher and Blarney Castle. The stop at Glen’s farm in Connemara to watch the sheepdog demonstration and the mine tour were such a pleasant surprise. We won’t forget Pip!! Confusion at the first B&B stop and errors with the tour company instructions meant a four star **** for the company.

Terrific time in Ireland

Tom_H, Sep 2024
Excellent tour. The driver/guide, Vincent, was very entertaining, knowledgeable and helpful. We had a terrific time in Ireland.

Enjoyable Tour Around South West Ireland

Emma_M, Jul 2024
My friend and I enjoyed our 4-day bus tour around South West Ireland! We stopped at some really neat spots and the scenery on the drives was beautiful. The trip included a great deal of time on the bus, but that was to be expected. We chose the backpacker option for accommodations, and the first night's accommodation was disappointing, but the other two nights were much better. We had Danny as our driver for most of the trip and he was great! Very friendly and told some funny stories. He always had good recommendations as well. Overall, it was a good tour!

All in a mess on 1st day tour

PikWai_L, Jun 2024
First day in Ireland - waiting at Dublin street corner for over an hour in the early morning for the late tour coach (our driver didn’t show up and was replaced by someone else’s pick up eventually). Then we were told some of the sightseeing spots were closed on Sundays, so the original itin wouldn’t be followed. The ride is from 8:40 till now (13:00), with a 30 min coffee break at a Galway Plaza gas station, and still goes on without knowing where are we heading (the mic is out of order and it’s dangerous for the driver-cum-guide to speak on the road, hence he has to pull up to speak). PS. Finally we had 2 brief “photo stops” next to the road for streams and ponds like those in New Territories ….. When I expected a more proper guided tour, I spotted in Google Map that we were already going back to Galway ie it’s a 3-hour ride with no sight to see. We arrived at B&B ard 15:30 for self exploration. What more unfortunate is that our tour company assigned our 3-bed room to 2 girls on a backpacker package, but gave the 3 of us a room with just a double & a single beds. It’s only realised after everybody settled in, so a swap back is higher undesirable. Is this Irish style? Kinda a waste of time and money. #paddywagon#paddywagon#dublinlargest#round south-west Ireland

The sides were awesome....

Katherine_B, May 2024
The sides were awesome. We had issues on the first day. We were on a one day sightseeing bus with no place for our luggage. We sit on the very back seat with two other, and could not move. We only made one stop for a restroom break. And I only saw sides at one location. After the first day we were moved on to a regular bus and things were a lot better. The B&Bs that were used by the company would not meet the average persons standards. The quality of the beds in the B&Bs should be tossed and replace at all locations .

Lovely trip

Anahita_C, May 2024
Lovely and Fun tour guide. Beautiful scenery. Comfortable Coach. Selected hotels were decent for a 1 night stay.

Excellent

Linda_D, Mar 2024
Excellent! The sheep herding and lead and silver mine in Connemara were the most fantastic part of the trip. Our driver Dan and JJ were very knowledgeable and fun.

Outstanding tour of the Southwest of Ireland

Stephen_M, Dec 2023
Every day was filled with spectacular sights and outstanding experiences that will always be with us. Our guides were fabulous, friendly and colorful and made the whole trip a lot of fun. Everything was as promised and accomodations were very convenient and comfortable.

Paddy weapon for the win!!!

Thatiane_G, Sep 2023
This tour was amazing!!! Me and my husband had a great time on this 4 days journey through Ireland’s southwest. Our driver and tour guy Danny was the best. He made the group feel welcome, he was very patient, funny, he has great stories to tell and awesome soundtrack for the trip. We definitely recommend this tour and if possible, Danny would be your driver to go!!!

Nice and complete tour

NADINE_M, Aug 2023
Nice and complete tour. We really enjoyed the wild ocean road an its wonderful lands cape. The 4th and last day was a little bit disapointing because we had to pay for the « caleche tour » (on the program it was noted as included) and we didn’t stop on the rock of Dunnamase so the way back to Dublin was quite long.

Great Tour and Guide - poor service from office staff

Tim_O, Aug 2023
The tour itself was great, but the directions to get to the proper pick-up location for the start of it were horrible.

Super experience with great guides!

Brianne_T, Jun 2023
Great experience on the 4-day tour!! We saw so much in 4 days but never felt rushed. Everyone on the tour was super friendly and never felt alone as a solo tourist. Our guide, Danny, was great - lots of interesting stories and facts, made the tour fun for everyone, and gave great recommendations for extra things to see and do if we had time - I could only get through about half that list but all were great! B&B's were clean and neat with friendly staff - no complaints. Highly recommend for those with a laid back attitude looking to experience the best sights through the eyes of a local - going with the flow and just enjoying the people and sights around you is the best way to take advantage of this trip!

Great experience and the south West was thrown in as well!!

lorraineellen, Jun 2023
Best ever was the bus driver Vin. Kept it fun and forward. Loved the places and accommodation. Well done all x

Good

Sundararajan_D, Jun 2023
Over all good. Very goo driver and guide Vincent. ON stay places are not the best. Some places you can’t even walk inside the room.

Amazing Time

jimmy_c, Mar 2023
Excellent tour. Amazing time. Vincent, our tour driver, was fantastic and very knowledgeable. Best way to see Ireland in our opinion!!!! 5 Star Review!!!

Good Tour to see South West Ireland but check the final itinerary before starting.

Paula_W, Jan 2023
The 4 day Ireland tour covered a lot of scenery. The tour guide Vincent was friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and informative. We were very lucky with the weather in January as there was no rain and little wind. We were not told in advance that the itinerary would be changed (we did not stay in Dingle and we did not travel to Cork or Limerick) due to the tour being in January (off-season?)? The accommodation was not great - we were a minimum of 700m from the town (that had many shops and restaurants) in 2 places and the last night's accommodation was in a town that had almost nothing considered worthwhile to check out. In 2 places we had inadequate heating with no extra blankets (the temp dropped overnight to about 5 oC) and the last place we stayed, our room (not others) did not have hot water (after leaving multiple taps running in excess of 5 minutes).

Ireland 4 Day Tour

Lala_G, Oct 2022
Our bus driver and tour guide, Vincent we as excellent. Very relaxed, and genuine. His flexibility with how long we stayed in each location was really great and he really tried to huge us all the best experience of Ireland. I very much appreciated his driving skills as well navigating the extreme narrows roadways in not so wonderful weather at times. 5 stars for him. My only critique was the accommodations for each night. While they were fine for the short stays, the offerings due to capacity challenges were probably not more than a 2 star hotel rating. Our itinerary didn’t stick to exactly as outlined due to some adjustments in our lodging location however the overall tour gave us a really great taste of Ireland and its history.

Perfect 4 day tour especially if traveling solo

Shane_R, Aug 2022
I would definitely book this trip again. It was well organized, fun, and covered a lot of ground without feeling overly rushed. The tour guides/drivers were amazing. I will add that Viator has the wrong pick up location on the ticket- luckily another person and I spoke up because if we waited I guess the bus would have left us! The bed and breakfasts were clean and comfortable and the food was delicious- they work really hard and I don’t think that people tipped them enough for their services. The only negative comment that I can say is that there was a large family group that was all adults and they were always orchestrating seats and trying to be together at the bed and breakfasts. We all paid the same money and I didn’t think it was fair that they got to pick and choose. Several of us had to stay 15 minutes away the last night of the dinner party (we would’ve liked to freshen up and change before dinner too- instead we had to wait in the bar area for an hour and a half). This wasn’t the tour guides fault but I think that the company should state that all ADULTS will be randomly assigned rooms etc. other than that the trip was well organized. It was lovely not having to drive. The bus gets very cozy with 60 people but we only had one or two legs that were over 2 hours. We had several comfort stops. I would definitely do a tour like this again.

Kind of chaotic organizing, lovely country

BrittTove_S, Jul 2022
The places we visited were very good, especially Killarney, Cliffs of Moher and Galway. We had a very good stay in Galway, at St Jude's Court, but the next two days weren't that good. The b&b in Killarney, where we were supposed to stay, were full, and we were sent to the neighbour. Ok, clean, hopeless shower, but not the same. The next day, same ting happened. Understandable this time, but we ended up far away from everything. We never got an itinerary, the only ting we had was what's on the Internet, and it didn't add up. The info about where we were staying were kind if chaotic every day upon arrival. The busdriver the first day, as excellent; good driver, gave clear messages and told good stories. The driver for the next three days, were also a very good driver, but he mainly gave (the ssme) practical info again and again. We mean that we should have had updated ininerarys with the correrect info at the beginning of the trip, roadmaps and an overview on where we would be staying, in advance. The mix of two groups half way, weren't the best, either.

Free and easy tour

Chin_C, May 2022
Great way to explore and make new friends without the hassle of driving and planning. Upgraded accommodations are quite basic though.

Danny was a superior guide!

Shirley_B, May 2022
Our guide, Danny Roberts, was incredible! Very bright and explains things quite well. Answers endless question with patience and kindness. Knows and shares many lovely Irish stories.

Great tour. Left me wanting more.

GayAnn_L, Jul 2019
This was a great tour. Brian our driver and guide was super. I would definitely take one of these type tours again and would recommend this tour to friends and family.

Response from Host, Jul 2019

A taste of Ireland

SanDiegoRW, Jun 2019
This was an amazing tour! Dan, our driver loves his homeland and was so great sharing information and history. We experienced so much in a short fast paced 4 days. I would do it again in a minute! The southern part of the country is breathtaking and gorgeous. I can't wait to visit Ireland again and see more. Take some snacks and enjoy the ride around the country. Dermot was our first driver and he was just as helpful. The staff is very friendly.

Paddy Wagons 4-Day South West Ireland Tour from Dublin

Mary_K, Jun 2019
Tour started out great, but on the second day our bus and driver left and another bus picked us up. The second bus was already pretty full of a continuing 6-day tour, so we had to take the few single seats available and could not sit together. Also, much time wasted dropping people off at various accommodations each day and sorting out luggage. A few changes were made in the itinerary due to "traffic."

Impeccable Western Ireland Excursion

Nicole A, Jun 2019
This four-day tour gave us an incredible taste of Western Ireland. With picturesque weather, we saw the most gorgeous views of The Cliffs of Moher and Slea Head. Getting the opportunity to wine and dine, plus explore, the adorable towns of Galway, Dingle, and Killarney, was an exceptional part of this experience. Furthermore, our tour guides happily shared their wealth of knowledge of the country, not to mention, answered any questions about the tour and seemlessly coordinated accommodations and scheduling. Cheers!

Great trip indeed!

Jamila C, Jun 2019
