I was scammed out of $800 after booking what I was told included tickets to Machu Picchu. Over the phone, the company clearly confirmed that tickets were included in the price. However, once I arrived to Peru, the guide informed me that was not true — meaning I couldn’t even enter Machu Picchu. This was incredibly disappointing and stressful, especially after spending so much money and traveling so far. When I reached out to the original company Viator, multiple customer service attendees were just as confused as I was about tickets. Agencia GuiasTour were completely unhelpful and left me stranded. Thankfully, Peru Bucket List stepped in and were absolutely incredible. They responded quickly, answered all my questions, and did everything they could to salvage my trip. They turned a nightmare situation into something memorable and truly took care of me. Do not trust companies that promise tickets over the phone without confirmation. I highly recommend booking directly with Peru Bucket List — they’re honest, reliable, and genuinely care about their guests.
