Excellent Tour of Macchi Picchu with perfect Transfers!

We were picked up at our hotel by private car at 4:30 am and the 2 of us were driven 2 hours to the train station where our driver gave us tickets for the train going both directions, our tickets for the bus going both directions between the last train stop and the entrance to Machi Picchu, and our tickets to get into Machi Picchu. He then put us on the train and when it arrived at the small town at the foot of Machi Picchu, another guide holding a sign with my name on it met us and walked us to the bus stop. We had an 11:00 am appt to enter Machi Picchu (determined by the guide service and Machi Picchu) and so we were not allowed to catch the bus until 10:35 am. The bus is marked with your entry time to MacPicchu. Once there, we met our Machi Picchu guide shortly after 11:00 but had a slight problem finding him among the throng of people. Finally, we asked another guide who pointed him out to us and the rest of the tour was great. Word of warning, though, after entering, the steps you take to climb to the point where the tour really starts are steep and quite high (because the stones are so large) which makes them difficult to climb in places, particularly when there isn’t a railing and most of the group is younger and moving up the steps at a pretty fast pace. We are In our 70’s and were very winded when we got there, stopping several times to catch our breath. Once we got there, the tour was fabulous, and in the end, the transfers worked like clockwork, with a new driver waiting at the train station when we got off holding a sign with my name on it, where the first driver had dropped us earlier that morning. We arrived back at our hotel in Cusco around 10:00 pm.
