This was well organized and we loved the included breakfast and lunch. Our guide Wally was helpful in meeting the accomodations of our whole group. The views were amazing. Be warned that the car ride is very bumpy and make make some sick. The only downside was the office communication. I had sent multiple messages asking if we could transport suitcases and was finally told we could. The night before I was told we can't, but then they worked it out for us to be able to store our luggage. A bit of a mix up but it worked out in the end.

Palcoyo Mountain

Heber was our tour guide for Palcoyo mountain, he was upbeat and positive and explained every aspect of the tour in both English and Spanish. The tour is very good value considering you are provided with buffet breakfast and lunch, transport and a walking stick. We were also provided with a blanket after the hike which was a nice touch. You are allowed to do the hike independently which I think is really positive as there were some slower paced members of the group and it would be frustrating for us to have missed out on the rock forest if we were waiting for them. But luckily everyone could go at their own pace and Heber would keep an eye on where everyone was. He also took photos for individuals and the group which was nice. This is such a hidden gem still, lovely to explore without the huge crowds you get everywhere else! There was a little bit of confusion with the pick up time - was initially told 4.30 by company and then think Heber was outside at 4.05, however he came back at the agreed time so no issue in the end.

Due stelle solo per le montagne

Due stelle perché le montagne colorate sono magnifiche. Per il resto lasciate stare: la “guida” non ha detto una parola di spiegazione per le 8 ore di viaggio (4 di andata e altrettante per il ritorno). Una volta arrivati sulle montagne colorate ha proferito un paio di frasi di spiegazione riguardo ai diversi colori delle montagne e stop. L’autista un pazzo ( un po’ come tutti gli autisti in Perù) ma questo è stato il peggiore di tutto il viaggio. Organizzazione pessima.

Très cher, mauvais rapport qualité prix

Excursion très très chère pour passer seulement 2h au Machu Picchu… on paye le train de Poroy à Aguas Calientes et finalement on a fait du bus pas confortable jusqu’à Ollataytambo (du train ensuite) et pareil au retour. Si c’était à refaire je le ferais avec une agence locale dans la rue…
