Loved it! Hard to place it over Maccu Pichu but it is close

We did a bunch of excursions while in the Cusco region and this is the only one that was managed well. The guide and driver were great, the meals were great and the mountains were amazing. Dress warm for the morning drive and know that you can leave your excess things in the van while you hike.

The tour is easy to hike. You need to be acclimated The Guide and the driver took care of us (seniors) a ton. Unfortunately the confirmed pickup time by Viator 6.30am did‘t fit to the time of our real pickup (4.30h information by the company). Maybe our special problem. Nevertheless A great impression.

Our driver picked us up at the hotel at 3:45AM and we drove with our guide stopping for a buffet breakfast before heading off to Palccoyo. The mountain is exactly as pictured, it's stunning! Our guide made sure that we took it slow to get used to the altitude which helped. Halfway through we were joined by Francisco and his alpaca Jorge. It was amazing getting to take pictures and walk along the mountain with Jorge. We were given opportunities to explore further up the mountain or take easier routes which was great. On our way back we stopped off for a buffet lunch (both meals were included) and dropped back off at our hotels in Cusco by 3:30pm. I would highly recommend this trip, our group was small so it was very personalized and this mountain is not (yet) a high tourist spot so you can really enjoy the view.
