Itinerary

Your tour begins with pickup from your Cusco hotel in time for a 6.30am departure. Admire the views on the around 1-hour journey to Calca, then hop out to explore the tranquil mountain town. Continue another couple of hours to the highest point of the Lares Pass, at 14,665-foot (4,470-meter) - the starting point for your bike tour.

After meeting your private guide and being paired with a suitable bike, set out on your mountain biking trek through the Andes. Cycle along a thrilling route through the highlands, following remote trails and grassy tracks. Along the way, enjoy incredible views over the rugged mountains and canyons; spot alpacas, vicuñas, and llamas grazing on the hillsides; and learn more about local life as you pass through traditional Andean villages.

After re-fueling with a hearty lunch (included), stop to admire some little-visited ‘chulpas’ (pre-Inca ruins), and see the Machacancha hot springs.

Finally, return to Calca, where your driver will be waiting for you. Back in Cusco, your tour ends with drop-off at your hotel around 7.30pm.
