Overview

This 2-day small-group trek takes you through the rugged Andean mountains to Humantay Lake and Salkantay Pass. On day one, hike to Humantay Lake and enjoy stargazing from a glass-top igloo. Great experience, great company, great food!!

This was one of the best experiences we had in Cusco. Everything went super smooth. Our arrival to Cusco got delayed by one day because of flight issues and we didn't get time to get acclimatized to the altitude however our guide Jordan helped us though, gave great tips and we completed both treks. He was super fun. Humantay lake and salkantay Pass were beautiful and we got great weather. In addition staying in the sky camp was a crazy experience. We had a very starry night. The food cooked by our chef was super tasty and innovative!

This was such an amazing once in a lifetime kind of tour. From start to finish, the Salkantay Trekking team was so organized and had open communication. We got lucky and had Jackson as our guide. He is hands down the best tour guide I’ve had. He was friendly and professional. Always available to answer questions and provided tons of information. He was kind and patient, we never felt rushed when we fell behind in the group. He encouraged us to keep going! We enjoyed all the food during this two-day trip as well. The chef made delicious food and there was plenty to go around. We enjoyed sharing our meals with Jackson as we were about to ask questions about the tour as well as get to know him on more of a personal level. He has a very good sense of humor! The accommodations were very clean - sleeping bags and blanket liners were provided.

Fun and beautiful experience

The locations were beautiful. The agency not organized and the personal were not friendly. There was no internal communication. The guide was okay, a bit self centered but decent.
